Traveling Mercies

I would like to take this opportunity to say . . . the Lord gave me great weather for traveling today. He also helped me make it safely to my destination. AND my luggage did NOT get lost!! :o)

So today I headed out of Colorado & into Texas. Technically I skipped all the states in between because I was in the air and never really went into them. ;o)

Scott drove me to Gunnison this morning to fly out of there to Denver & then Denver to Dallas. We started our day early at 4:30am. (I would like to turn in early, but I have 3 people I'm rooming with, so I need to be mindful of them.) I hung out at DIA from 9:00am till about 11:45am when I boarded my plane to head to Dallas. I wait for my mother-in-law to get in at DFW, then we headed over to the hotel together. I'm SO glad I was not driving at DFW. That is a mess of an airport. I think the shuttle to the hotel must have gone in circles a dozen times before we actually left the airport to go to the hotel. It's a mess!! (I digress) Anyways, after checking-in we headed down to the restaurant in the lobby to have dinner. After walking around so much in the airport, I was glad to not have to wander very far for dinner. After eating we headed across the street, to where all of our conferences will be this week, to explore & see if there was anyone we knew. All the "vendors" were still in the "set-up" faze, so we headed back to our room. Half way there I decided I wanted a chocolate bar, so back downstairs we went to find the gift shop so I could buy a Snickers bar & a bottle of water. I'm sure most of you have seen the "news story" of how "well" the cleaning staff clean the glass cups in the rooms . . . well neither Sue or I felt like we wanted to risk drinking out of a dirty glass, so we got a bottle of water. (again I digress) *sigh*

Well, since I can't focus very well, I think I'm going to sign off for the night & see about heading off to bed.
