So I was talking to one of my friends this week as I had an epiphany. The feminists ruined it all for the rest of us. Now don't misunderstand me, I think it's only fair that a woman that works on Wall Street should be paid the same as a Man, but in "pushing" for that they effectively ruined the rest of it. What am I talking about you ask? Well, (I'm speaking of married couples here) unless the man has a job in the mines, on Wall Street or in some medical field it's almost impossible (I said almost) for the woman to stay home if she so chooses. The "family unit" is not anywhere near as tight as it used to be. The divorce rate is at an all time high & alot of men in our country have become lazy and refuse to work at all making the woman carry the load or they can't keep a job. Personally I think it started with the feminist movement. I can understand not wanting to be forced to stay home with the kids, but why ruin it for the rest of us that want to stay home with the kids? Unfortunately, my kids are at the age where I don't NEED to stay home with them, but it sure would have been nice 9 years ago to have that option. Oh well, I suppose since I can't do anything about it, I shouldn't complain about it.
Okay, I think I'll go watch a movie or something.
