Whew!! Now that I've finally had a chance to sit down I can update you all about Christmas.

Thursday was my last day at FAHTCO.

Friday we drove over to Denver for Christmas. We met up with Herb just outside of Grand Junction and Scott & Brian jumped on board with Herb so Rebekah & I cruised over by ourselves. We were hungry from getting started so early, so we stopped in Glenwood Springs for some McDonald's. It took us 1 hour to catch up with "the guys", because the traffic was AWFUL!!!

Saturday Tim had to go, so I went with!!! It was SO much fun. Yes, there were points where there was some "lag" time, but I know the medical field & expected as much when Tim suggested I go with. I watched a couple of PICC lines being put in, a Paracentesis & a Transjugular Liver Biopsy. That last one I would have to say was one of the more interesting procedures. They went thru the jugular vein, down thru the heart & took a biopsy of the liver. It was great!! Yes I know the fastest way would to be just poke thru the belly, but if the hole doesn't seal up, then the blood would leak into the abdomen, but going thru the vein like that keeps the blood inside the vein and the patient doesn't bleed out. I thought it was quite ingenious myself. Anyways . . . it was fun.

Sunday we went to Herb & Sues for the football game. What a game it was.

Monday we spent Christmas at Grandma Nelson's house with the rest of the family. It was cool. We got to catch up on all that was going on with everyones life. It was cool to see Erik & Cheryl again.

Tuesday we drove home. This time Scott & Brian had to ride with Rebekah and me because there wasn't anybody else coming back this direction. Poor, poor babies!! ;o)

Wednesday I started my new job.

Today is the first time I get to sit down and relax for a bit.
