Step 1:
Act REALLY excited that you've finally found a paint scheme you want to try to put in your livingroom, diningroom, kitchen and hallway.
Step 2:
Ignore that fact that he/she seems irritated about the whole subject.
Step 3:
Try to explain your fascination with trying to "decorate" the house.
Step 4: (make sure you get this one right, it's the last step)
Tell him/her . . . "I know you don't understand how I feel about this, but . . ."
That should get a rise out of them EVERYTIME!!
