Every woman has to face this one time or the other in their lifetime. What's that you may ask? Well, before I start I would like to take this simple opportunity to say that I love the men in my life very much!!
So Husband & Father, don't take offense.
Mom & I have been car-pooling for quite awhile to save on wear & tear on our vehicles & gas. (I don't have to go into details there I'm sure) Anyways, last week we drove Mom's truck & mine sat in the garage all week. So on Friday when I took it out for the first time that week I noticed an oil based substance on the garage floor. I told my husband & dad about it at dinner that night they suggested we go look at the truck after we finished eating. We came up to the garage & looked at the truck. Of course both of them didn't think I knew what I was talking about. It's not engine oil - it's too clean. It's from the bottle of oil the dog drug around the garage the other day. So, I thought it was a figment of my imagination. Well, everywhere I've been parking there's little oil like spots & my power steering seems to be acting up. So at lunch today I asked my father if power steering fluid is an oil based substance. Of course the answer was yes. I told him that I thought it was power steering fluid. He looked at the truck & yup that's what it was.
So that's why mechanics don't listen to women - it's the men in mentality. The moral of this story is . . . . when a woman doesn't tell you what's wrong with her vehicle, don't get upset with her, because you wouldn't have believed her anyway.
