Who'da Thunk It

Yesterday we had the MOST wonderful day. For once neither Scott nor I had "duties" we had to fulfill at church, so we went to Sabbath School & then hurried home, ate lunch, loaded the bikes & took off to the mountains to ride in God's country. We drove up to the Grand Mesa & looked for a spot to park the truck & zip around on the bikes. We found such a spot & took off. However, the trail was a little more rough than we had first thought it would be, so Scott took Brian back to the truck & left his little bike there. Brian then hopped on with Scott & met back up with Bekah & I. Well, Bekah got on with me & we took off. I'm surprised at the fact that I didn't wreck. The trail was quite a toughy & well you can imagin having Bekah sitting in front singing & chattering away, as well as trying to yank the leaves off all the trees that we passed. We stopped several times to take pictures & what not. As we came upon Granby Lake No. 11 there was a couple, from Littleton, taking in the beautiful view. They had just bought their new Honda 230's a couple of days prior & were out on a ride. We talked to them for a while & then they headed out. We decided to hang out a while, the kids wanted a snack & I needed to pee. As we were hanging out, there was a group of people passing us. Lo & behold it was someone we knew. It was MY BOSS!!!! Who would have ever thought that out in the middle of nowhere we would run into someone we knew much less my boss. It was quite a mental trip!! We so enjoyed ourselves. We hope to do more of that, but it's sad that it's so late in the season. Well, we have next year right?
