After being a bridesmaid and getting 27 bridesmaid dresses, Jane Nichols (Katherine Heigl) is now going to be her sister, Tess's (Malin Akerman), bridesmaid when her sister marries the man she is secretly in love with, George (Edward Burns). Meanwhile, wedding reporter Kevin Doyle (James Marsden) thinks he has found the story of a lifetime in Jane's tale.
