watching... always watching...

  • War
I saw this in Hastings while looking for something else. How did I not hear about a movie with Jason Statham and Jet Li?! As soon as I got home it went on my Netflix queue. It wasn't great, but it was a pretty good action flick, with a twist.

  • Dear Frankie
A nice little drama. Lower budget, foreign (Scottish I think), and no complaints.

  • March of the Penguins
I've had this at home for a long time as part of my winter Sabbath afternoon nature movie watching plan. Can you believe we had over a month with no Sabbath afternoons at home?! Unbelievable. Anyway, we finally watched it and it was really good. I never knew penguins were so amazing!

  • Perfect Score
Busted this one out for some friends that had never seen it. Laughed my ass off. I really like this movie!

  • I Am Legend
This movie is still in theaters, but we watched it at home. ;-) Is Wil Smith in anything that's not really good anymore? I think not.

  • Gilmore Girls season 7
The last season of GG. *sniff* It started out pretty good, got kinda annoying in the middle, and was really good at the end.

  • Mind of Mencia season 3
Carlos is so freaking funny! I pretty much just watch the stand up intro and skip the rest of the show; I'm not really into the skits so much. But the stand up is so funny!

  • The Unit season 1
What can I say? I'm not all the way through the season yet, but I continue to really like this show.

  • The Kiss
Slow, and not really well acted. Skip it.
    2.5*
  • Dragon Wars
Brian loved it, but kids have very forgiving eyes when it comes to movies. Oh. My. Word. This movie is bad on so many levels. Total B-movie. C, actually. It's bad. From the stupid story, to the Tom Cruise M:I-2 wannabe (named Ethan even!), to the bad effects. That's an hour and a half of my life that I won't get back!

    Jodi:

I didn't really like the ending for Gilmore Girls, and I feel your pain about losing time on a movie, mine was Napoleon Dynamite.

    The Bro-in-law:

Yeah, just caught Perfect Score recently on TV. Very funny movie!

    Bro:

Do you guys have a Blockbuster close to you? Mary and I just switched to it because you have the option to take them back to the store OR mail them back. Works the same though. You should "read" I Am Legend. Same idea except with Microbiology vampire mumbo-jumbo. Really good read though! Movie kicked butt too.

Yeah, we have a Blockbuster, but I haven't switched to it for a number of reasons. I've not heard good things about their timeliness, selection, and availability. The only time it would help me to return them to the store is if I was returning all 3 at the same time, and that doesn't happen very often. I'll definitely be interested to hear how you like it after using it for a while.
