Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner

I took Hailey out for the morning so that Tim could get some homework done. I have been sick and tired of lugging around the huge diaper bag and never needing anything in it, so Tim and I switched to a kids backpack just big enough to hold 2-3 diapers, wipes, a sippy cup and a snack. First, we went to Lollilocks and got her haircut. Then we did some shopping at Costco. Last, we stopped at Chic Filet to play in the play area and get some lunch. Hailey played in the play area for 45 minutes when I started to smell something foul. Uh-oh...you all know what that meant. So, we packed up and headed into the bathroom to change her diaper and then order our food. Laying on the changing table, while I had her dirty diaper off, but before I had the clean one on, she PEES:( Of course, the hard plastic of the changing table let the pee go everywhere before I could do anything about it. Shirt soaked, pants soaked, shoes exposed. Quickly, I took off all her clothes and did what I could to mop up the pee on the table (but not having anything with me that disinfects, it makes me think twice about ever using one of those again!!!). Not having the big diaper bag, I did not have a change of clothes for her. So, on a 40 degree day in March, I took my baby out of the Chic Filet, into the parking lot and strapped into the car seat wearing only a diaper. The people in the restaurant looked at me like I was a MORON, and I figured service would be denied since we were breaking the cardinal rule, "no shirt, no shoes, no service." We went through the drive-thru instead and took our meal home. Maybe I will have to switch back to the massive diaper bag - ugh.
