Easy week

This week I had a really easy week. When I went into work on Monday I asked the boss "head for Guymon"? and his reply sure took me by surprise! No. So for only the second time in two years I went out to Coors and picked up 51,300 cans of beer for L.A.. Stopped in Salina, UT at the Denny's and saw Kim&Melissa who I haven't seen in a year. Didn't have to rush, got some sleep for a change and all that good stuff. Had my reload info Monday afternoon! Ran up to Guadalupe and loaded produce for Safeway for friday delivery. Thurday Safeway called the office and asked if they wanted to reschedule the truck that was still in CA! I guess they had some problems earlier in the week with trucks making it in on time. They said no, if any truck would be on time it would be that one! Was in by 10:30 for an 11 am appointment. Hey, what more do you want, a raise?

Stopped at the office for a few minutes and was told that Tom wanted to see me. Who the heck is Tom and what did I do to get called to the office? So they took me over to see this guy and he tells me to set down he had bad news. Could I possible stand a 6 cents a mile raise? Quick math told me right off that that was a hell of a raise! They had reviewed my applacation and all that and that is where I fit into Navajos pay scale. Bring it on! Needless to say, the rest of the day was uneventful.

Ernie and Georgia are calling down in the morning and we are going to finish staining cabinets. And that is all the news from here.

When I was driving thru Vegas 2 A-6 Intruder flew over. Made my little heart go pidder patter. Right behind them was 2 B-1 bombers and 2 F-16. Not a bad day of plane watching!

So... no more talking smack about Navajo now, eh?! Hahaha! That's so cool. Especially the planes! I would've crashed the truck.

Dad:

I was figuring worse-case scenerio last week -- if they turned my truck down, what was I going to do? They would have to pay me 3 more cents a mile to drive a slower speed and make the same amount. Guess it threw that right out the window, didn't it!

Here in Chattanooga when the Blue Angels were practicing on Friday for Sat & Sun's airshow, there were 3 major wrecks on the interstate cuz people were watching the planes! :)
