Two years ago I picked up a load of grapes in Acampo(Lodi), CA. It delivered to a residence in Littleton, it was the home of one of the members of the Co. Wine Club. His whole garage is stainless steel vats and asundrious other wine making equipment. Actually a pretty neat set up if you're into it. The club members all show up and hand unload the truck, have coffee and donuts and crush grapes. I didn't do it last year, I don't know who did, but got the load again this year. The vineyard where you pick up the grapes is about 6 miles east of the main hwy. Norman K. is some 79 years old and a really nice old guy. I enjoy chatting with him. This year I met his grandson's (who is learning how to farm from his grandpa and is apprentice wine maker) wife who is from Colorado. In Littleton I met Norman's son-in-law. So it is truly a family affair. I remembered his (Norman's) place in CA and could even picture it in my minds eye. Same with Dale's place in Littleton. But it was a lot of fun and Norman went out and picked me a box of the sweetest grapes to bring home with me and a bottle of red and white wine. Mmmmmm. I guess when Sue throws me out in the dog house I'll at least stay warm or happy.
FINALLY got my p/u back from Darrell. I got the distinct impression he didn't much want to return it. There's more where that one came from! Maybe if I had handed him the payment coupon I would have gotten it back sooner.
In other news their is no news... Later...
