As you all know this week I took Brian out on the truck with me. We had a very good time and all week long I only had to "get in his face" once and I don't even remember what it was for. We did alittle grocery shopping before we left, I was worried about him getting hungry all the time. Didn't happen. I stocked my refrig up with juice for him(I know he drinks alot of it) and off we went. I told him their was no restrictions on anything. If you felt like something, don't ask just go get it. Believe it or not that actually worked out great. By the time we crossed the border out of Colorado he had opened up every box in the truck and sampled it. Didn't bother me any, that was the rules!
We stopped in Boise City, OK for something and we bought a sweatshirt for Brian that said Oklahoma on it. I keep the truck really cool inside, I just feel so much better physically. The sweatshirt was fuzzy inside so all was well.
Blew a drive tire sometime in the night so stopped in Santa Rosa, NM and had it replaced. Brian ate more than I did for breakfast! We made a few other stops for this and that but one thing became very clear in short order. The shoes with laces would have to go! We stopped in Winslow, Az at a truck stop right next door to Wal-Mart and fixed him right up. Course we found a few other thing that we just couldn't pass up :).
By this time we are running behind schedule but oh well, we're having fun. Brian would disappear for long stretches of time, Saga and then a nap. We delivered only 10 minutes late, got to see a couple ocean cargo ships in dock. My reload was a drop & hook in Ontario for Kmart in Brighton. Some how he had it in his head that when we got back I was suppose to drop him off at Uncle Tim & Mary's for the night. We skipped supper but made it back by 8pm.
I took a nap, I was so tired and slept thro my alarm so didn't deliver as early as I wanted too in Brighton. By the time I got back into Denver it was only an hour before Tim was going to wake me up so I just stayed at the yard. I had 3 days worth of logs to catch up and the truck was trashed BAD so got all that done and went into the office to pick up paycheck. Boss had stepped out so figured I'd run the rest of Brians stuff over to him and come back for paycheck. Sat and had a real nice chat with Mary(she brought me coffee!) and ran back over to office. The boss asked me if I was doing anything(a loaded question) and I asked him what was up. He told me to go over to the yard and look up truck #1064 and move into it, they had just finished putting the QualComm in it. Well I'm not one to pass that one up. To make a long story short, 5 hr later I was moved. Just threw everything in, the guy who was getting my truck sat and waited all afternoon for his "new" truck. I put 360188 miles on it between Nov.4,2002 and Aug.5,2005. The new truck is a 2006.
Enough...Later...
