James Blunt

I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with James Blunt and his mad skillz. I got home wee bit early today and Cheryl was watching Oprah and he was on it as a special guest or whatever. I really enjoyed his last song he did and his performance was REALLLY excellent.

NPR

It is quite amazing to me how some things just sneak up on you and you don't even realize till it's too late. It finally dawned on me that I must be getting old because (try not to faint) ........ I actually listen to NPR(National Public Radio). I actually like hearing the news and it's pretty cool to be somewhat aware of all the crap going on in our world.

We watched the Oscars the other night and I was seriously bummed. I usually enjoy watching them a lot because there is most often a film in the mix that I care about and root for. Unfortunately, this year was a different story. While I can't say I wouldn't like some of the movies if I had seen them, I was completely unfamiliar with hardly any of the movies. I did enjoy just watching the awards but it just didn't seem the same without a personal favorite in the mix. Maybe next year.....!

Hey all

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while (not that anyone gives a crap). I just haven't had much cool stuff happen to me recently. We did finally sign the lease for renting this Awesome house we were hoping to get into. We almost lost it because we couldn't get our tax returns due to a $30 we still owe the IRS. Luckily my brother called me to talk and offered to loan me the $500 for the down payment. I was hella surprised, but really touched that my little brother would help me out like that. I guess I'm just getting jadded in my old age and it's getting harder to see or expect good in people. It's pretty hard when it seems like everyone is trying to screw you or whatever. Anyway, the house is friggen' nice.

On a different subject, I got invited to play in a super hero RPG with some of the SCA people I know in town. My hero is a Tank type hero with rock type powers named Cometose (clever name huh, lol!)

Silk Road

I have finally been able to sign up for a free online roleplaying game that looks REALLY interesting. It's out of Korea so the translation to English is hard to understand sometimes but I don't care. It looks like it follows the Wu Xia style of the Hong Kong Cinema. If anyone is intrested in checking it out it is at this site Silk Road.

Also I have finally gotten enough of my friends interested in playing the Serenity RPG. We will be starting that pretty soon. it all happened when Cheryl and I went over and had a night of chillen' with my friend Ty and his wife. We watched Dukes of Hazzard movie (better than i thought but glad I waited for dvd) and Serenity. Ty like totally flipped over the Serenity bitcheness. And now he is the driving force in getting our other friends off their asses and away from their dumb shit to do something fun. I am Uber jazzed!!!!!!!

Castly Goodness

Happy New Year everyone! Today Cheryl and I watched a really cool show on American castles. It had a thing on several modern replica type castle homes from around the country. It was totally like drool city. I have always thought that if I had huge resouces I would build a replica castle type home. It ahs always ben one of those unrealistic dreams of mine. Oh well......

On an other subject Cheryl and I have now seen the Narnia movie twice. It is Exceptionally well done. It is almost totally like how I saw it when I read the books so many years ago. I LOVED it!!! If you haven't seen it yet I would highly recomend it.

Is it just me or is the average american a fricken' retard when it comes to driving in the snow? Recently we have been having little episodes of snow and everytime everyone feels they need to either drive like a maniac and cut you off or drive slower than molasses. AAAAAAAAAAAArgh.

Just bitching

How come every time my friends want to do something they always want me to come to there house or whatever where I'm the one who has to fucking get in the car and do all the damn driving. Sunday I told a friend that I would help run him thru the rules of my friday night game bacause he was going to join. Well Sunday comes and the jackass thinks I should come over to his house. Keep in mind that this would involve me packing up a large bag of books and whatnot. All his sorry ass had to bring was himself and maybe a few dice. OK, now I feel better! Thanks for listening.

Well I'm at the end of my vacation, hella bummer. I have to say that I have some incredibly bitchen' friends. I have been planning to go out to Colorado for quite some time and go to gaming convention with some of my friends but this year they put the convention on Labor day weekend and everyone had plans. So what do my friends do? They plan a ruttin' con just for me. We played all sorts of games; Star Wars RPG, LOTR RPG, Munchkin card game, Attack! board game, Hackmaster RPG. I have to say I haven't had that much fun in along time. Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge game geek, esp. Role Playing Games and out here in Lincoln none of my friends really give a crap about RPG's so any chance I get to play I'm all about taking. Thanks a bunch Titus and the gang in Colorado, I really appreciate it!!!!!
