Update

Just alittle update. I did have surgery on Thursday (dec. 18). My left ovary and fallopian tube were removed, along with the 17 cysts. Also on my right ovary they found 1 cyst and removed it. I go back for a follow up on Jan 7.

I'm doing pretty good. I went back to work on Christmas Eve. It pretty much sucked. I just have some pain and am exhausted.

But hanging in there none the less...

Interesting End to the Year

Hi, Happy Holidays....

I know its been forever since I blogged.

Yesterday I went to the Doctor for my fun yearly women's exam. I had some concerns and I am not going to go into detail. I had an ultrasound and found out that I have 17 cysts on my left ovary. Today I find out that I will be having surgery this Thursday evening to remove them and most likely the ovary. I am very much in shock but I know that things will be ok.

Guess what?

So we went back home to Colorado early this month for a friend's birthday bash on 08/08/08. And we also spent a day with my parents. Which is when they announced that if we were to want to return to Colorado to live they would pay for the Uhaul and the gas.

So we have pondered it. (it took a total of a minute) and WE ARE MOVING HOME!!!!

(one thing first) Cherise is a junior in HS and is graduating this year (a whole year early) (if she works her butt off) So we are waiting til after that. So probably next August we will be headed home.

HOW EXCITED ARE YOU?!?!!?!?!

update

Hi...

Life is coming back to normal. The manager is back to work now so my load at work is greatly downsized. I can breathe again.

Right now I should be loading the car. Erik and I are going to an SCA event this weekend. I took the day off to get ourselves organized. Then we will leave right after he gets home and showered. I know you are severely interested.

So I should be able to post more about our exciting lives next week.

Take care...

Hectic Life

Wow... Its been awhile... Life has been so hectic lately.

I am currently large and in charge at the salon. My manager had her baby 2 1/2 weeks early, and before my management training was complete. So I had to wing it. We are doing ok on that.

Typhannie graduates at the end of May. I have 2 parties to plan. (one in Colorado Memorial weekend, and one here the weekend of graduation)

Sca life has been very busy. There are many events this month and Lilies War in June. I am limited to my attendance but we are planning on going to Lilies. I will totally be in need of a vacation at that point.

Just thought I'd let ya know that I am still alive...

Plague

Wednesday Erik came down with the flu. Not the vomiting kind. He had a fever all night long and was shivering most of the night. I felt like I was at one of those cheap motels with the vibrating beds. And most of the night he was breathing on me.

So I'm sure you can tell where this is going.

Friday morning I woke up with a sore throat and feeling kind of ehh.. By 3pm I felt like ass. (mind you I worked until 8) I called in Saturday and spent all day on the couch. And Sunday too. I watched many movie (and had many naps) Here is my movie list without links.

(Saturday)
Fargo
Raising Arizona
Tomb Raider
6 or 7 hours of The Learning Channel

(Sunday)
went to Breakfast
cleaned house a bit, then watched
Matrix
G.I. Jane

I totally forgot how great of a movie G.I. Jane was.

So I went to work today, not feeling that great at all, but I survived. I'm off tomorrow and I totally plan on sleeping the day away.

And also Cherise came down with it on Sunday,so she missed school today.

Laptop

Erik and I got our taxes back and I went shopping this morning. First thing we needed was a new dryer, so that will be delivered on Monday. And secondly, I got a LAPTOP!!! I'm excited... I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not but right after Christmas our desktop pooped. So now I can join the ranks of laptop junkies.

Here is my laptop.... I just love it.....

Happy Groundhog's Day

I have no idea what happened with Phil today, I guess I should Google that. I don't put much stock into a rodent anyway. I just look at the calender and see that there is 6 more weeks of winter.

So anyway, I know it has been along time since I have blogged, but I'm not really sure anyone reads it anyway.

Today a most exciting thing happened. My pottery teacher dropped off a present for me. This guy that she knows who has a pottery studio is closing his studio and is selling off everything. WELL, he gave her to give to me a kick wheel. So now in my garage is a pottery wheel of my very own. I'm hugely excited, you just can't see. Its sll disassembled at the current moment and its going to take about 4 of us to put it all together. I'm hoping that we can do that as soon as it warms up a bit.

I am SOOOO STOKED!!!

Also, I applied for the assistant manager position at my salon. I'll let you know how that goes.

And finially, an Alias update. I now own all 5 seasons. I am on season 4 disc 4. I have successfully gotten both the girls horribly addicted to it. Its great.

Oh, and I am the wife of the century (my own words) Yesterday was Erik's birthday and I found him the most perfect gifts (a Stargate book and a HUGE Star Wars memorabilia coffee table book thing) and took him out for sushi.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday time. Ours was very busy. My parents came over from Colorado for 3 days. It was great to see someone from home. For Christmas we got WIRELESS!! WOOT! Now we can surf the web from various spots in the house. Which is a good thing since jst a few days ago our desktop decided to die. It Crashed.... It is however a 1999 or 2000. So I guess in computer years it had a long life. There is hope though that our friend can recover what was on our hard drive.

We had a New Years bash. Boy am I glad that its over.

Erik got me Alias season 3. I just finished it last night and jonesing for season 4. I got a juicer for my birthday and have been making some great concoctions. Also for my birthday Erik is planning on taking me to see Phantom in Omaha!! I am so excited for that. I sang the music to Phantom in High School and have totally loved it ever since.

Stardust and Christmas shopping

Stardust comes out on DVD today. I'm so excited!! And I have a $5off coupon!

In other news, I hope to be done with my Christmas shopping tonight or Thursday. That is if I can handle the crowds. Erik and I went out Sunday just to start getting some ideas, and it was total insanity at Wal*mart. See if I do that again...
