Oh my gosh... We are finially back online. You can't imagine our joy.... Oh how we have missed the dot com world.
More to come.....
Some of my SCA "girlfriends" and I went out tonight for a little girl's night out. We went to a mexican restaurant then on to the movies. We saw "Dreamgirls".
Not my first pick of movies to see I planned on waiting to see it on video, but I was pleasantly surprised. Its a good story.
Spring break is next week and one week from today I am supposed to pick up my youngest daughter to have her here. My oldest daughter is going to Spain with the Spanish club. Well there may be a twist in plans. She just called me crying. She may have to stay there and babysit her younger brother and sister because their mother is a pathetic low-life trailer trash skank who doesn't spend time with her children. My ex and her are in a nasty divorce and fighting over custedy. We supposedly have joint custedy of my two girls but it doesn't feel like it... And she knows that I want to spend time with my children.
Hmmm... That's why we moved to Nebraska, if I recall correctly.
I have absolutly NO respect for women who sleep with married men knowing they are married. Therefore I have no respect for this low-life trailer trash skank. (you get the picture)
I've been holding that in for nearly 9 years....
Firefly has taught me:
1. If someone ever tries to kill you, you kill them right back.
2. To rob from the rich... and sell to the poor.
3. There's some things not to be taken for suggestion.
4. I can wear my pretty floral bonnet and still end someone.
5. To be respectful of other cultures; some people juggle geese, and that's
OK with me.
6. Tearing the clothes off your spouse/sig-other is work, work, work... but,
hey, someone's got to do it.
7. That a Stegosaurus and a T-Rex can never be friends.
8. Betrayal is sudden, but inevitable.
9. To swear in Chinese.
10. Nothin' buys bygones quicker than cash.
11. That nothin' into nothin'... carry the nothin'... is nothin'
12. To take that end of the stick... and well, take it. And that's
something.
13. There's nothin' more deceiving than a low-down, dirty... deceiver.
14. When you and your crew arrive in the nick of time, that makes you "big
damn heroes"
15. Not to ask for change when paying ransom on my friends.
16. That "sanguine" means both hopeful and bloody.
17. Some technical terms need to be worded in "captain dummy talk."
18. Eating strawberries can be very erotic.
19. How to interrogate a buffet table.
20. Sometimes the voices in your head are right.
21. We are all dreaming.
22. Ironic humor can be lost on someone with a crush on you.
23. There's a special level of hell reserved for child molesters and people
who talk in the theater.
24. The bible is a might fuzzy on the subject of kneecaps.
25. "Companion" can be used as a verb.
26. "Whore" is just another way to say "I love you"
27. If I'm still flying, it's enough.
28. How you get there is the worthier part.
29. Doing the impossible makes us mighty.
Quote of the day on Gmail
Eric Hoffer - "We lie loudest when we lie to ourselves."
I know a few people that could benefit from learning that... But they wouldn't listen anyway.
So, I really don't have anything to say. Today was kind of a lousy day. Nothing to exciting... One of the girls I work with just found out she's pregnant. Totally not planned... She's not married, not dating anyone... You get the picture so I'll stop there.
So, I am going to be having my daughter here for spring break or at least some of it. So now I have to come up with some fun things to do. I kinda want to see that new Jim Carey movie. I'm sure she'll be down with that, we have the same movie tastes.
In about 24 hours my other daughter will be getting on a plane to go to Spain. (The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain.) I'm really nervous, sending my baby over the ocean and all that. I'm glad that she has this opportunity and all but still, that's my babee! I can't wait to see the pictures she comes back with. She got a digital cam for christmas and enough memory cards to take about 800 pics.
So anyway, I hope you all are having a good Thursday.
Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that I got a flickr site...

Typhannie made it to Spain.
I just talked to her on msn mess. She says its gorgeous and she's moving there. I'm just glad she made it, I couldn't sleep last night knowing that she was somewhere over the Atlantic ocean..
She said her hotel room is awesome, they have 2 balconies, free internet and a stand up tanning bed in her room. She's excited...
Til your daddy takes the t-bird away...
Cherise and I have been having lots of fun while she is here for Spring Break. And today I have to go back to work, sept' she's coming with me. So we'll still be having fun.
Yesterday I took Cherise back to Iowa and stayed the night because Typh was coming home around 10.
We stayed up til about midnight, listening to her travel stories and looking at her 1000 pics. I'm so glad she got the opportunity do go on this trip she will remember it for a long time.
Today I got up when the girls were heading out for school and left about 10 minutes after they did. I got to Omaha around 10:30 and met Erik at the mall for lunch around 11:30. There is a new Indian place in the food court that we ate at. It was sssooooo yummy... Not as good as something Deva would make us, but pretty darn good.
When we got home I took a 3 hour nap.
Not very exciting, but it was good to see my European travelor and it was awesome having Cherise here for the week.
I'm asking everyone to keep me in mind when you say your prayers.
I have been looking at another salon but I'm not impressed with the lady managing it. I applied right before Christmas, had my interview Jan 16 and she wanted me back for a "techniqual interview" but it took her 6 weeks to do that. I had my second interview last Tuesday and she said she'd let me know Thursday or Friday. Well I haven't heard anything from her yet and I happened to see her at Village Inn last night and we exchanged waves. So I thought maybe she'd call me today but I haven't heard from her so far. This salon is under construction and is EFFING-A FABULOUS!!! and they are spending a crap load on it. So I can understand if the construction is the hold up but a good manager would call me and keep me updated if she really wanted me, right?
But in the meantime one of the girls at the salon I am at, left about a month ago and I am getting ALL her color clients and today we found out that the preggers girl is leaving. So my clientele is increasing everyday. Today I asked my boss today about working Mon-Fri 9-6, with an occasionnal Saturday. (only for a wedding or something) That is the schedule that the first girl to leave had. Right now I work Weds-Sat. It would mean I would be in the salon another 18 hours about... How can she say no? She said she'd think about it. So I really have been praying all day....
So I am really needing some help from God.
One of the other stylists had a lady in her chair while I was in the breakroom eating lunch. I couldn't help overhearing their conversation. Alice was aout 81 years old and her 66 year old brother is her son... Her parents raised her son and never told him. The rest of the family knows but not him, I just wonder when will he be old enough to know the truth.
And to make things worse, her boyfriend's (the father) mother threatned the family not to tell him (the father) because he was shipping off to go to WW2. Later he found out about his son after Alice was married. AND... both Alice and said boyfriend lost their spouses and got married to each other in 1997.
I didn't name her "Crazy Alice" she said that has been her name since she was 5, because she gave another little girl her one and only doll.
CRAZY...
Don't ya just love beauty shop talk?
This weekend we rented and watched three movies with Matt Damon, by accident.
The Departed
Ocean's 11
Ocean's 12
I really liked them all, and really, really liked The Departed.
Other than watching movies, we had a pretty uneventful weekend. My parents bought me a car while they were here in November and today I gave away my old beater car that was taking up room in the garage. So, yea, really not an exciting weekend, but exactly what I wanted out of it. I hope everyone else had a great weekend.
Back in October/November Erik bought my this really wicked nice Bow for archery. Well I haven't gone to Archery practice since about Christmas time.
I went last night and recieved an injury. I don't use a glove on my drawing hand and I got a huge blister on my index finger. I tried to shoot another round but it was going to have it. So I was benched due to an archery injury. I guess I will be getting a glove soon.
On a side note... I was approved to work Monday - Friday with an occasional Saturday. Although with some hesitency, but still approved.
