WOW! I haven't posted yet this month... What's wrong with me?

This weekend went by super fast. Saturday I was busy at work, had a color/haircut then a haircut then 2 highlights. That a good day! I don't really remember saturday evening, other than we drove across town to CiCi's to have 3.99 pizza buffet.

Sunday we spent most of the day tackling the Mt. Everest size pile of boxes in our front room. The house is starting to look like a home now.

Of course we watched the Oscars, because I am that much of a celebrity nerd. I think Rachel Wiess looked absolutly gorgeous. I was surprised that Brokback Mountain didn't win for best picture. I haven't seen it yet but I was sure it was going to win. I was very surprised to find out that Erik's dad had seen it and read the book.... WOW! For those of you who know him I'm sure you are in shock as well...

Just before the Oscar's I talked on the phone with one of my best girlfriends from high school. We have know each other since we were like 5. I haven't talked to her in a few years so we had some major catching up to do. It was nice.

The past week or so I have been busy doing lots of colors... I had 5 in 3 days last week and 2 today. Color is my favorite hair thing to do and I have been asking God to send me more clients and I guess he has.

Also I told you about 2 weeks ago about my new friend, Amber. She's the one that came in with another one of my clients then brought be like 5 more clients. (her family) And she's the one that invited me on that weekend getaway in Ogalala... Well anyway tonight I colored her mom's hair and since she and I are now BFF she came too. We had a good time, chatting and hanging out while I was working. Its so nice to have a friend here in this city...I know I have said this before but, I have been so lonely this past year and I have been praying for a few girl friends.

There really hasn't been much going on here. Its spring break for the girls and they are here with us for the week. We've been watching alot of movies and creating a myspace site for each of them. I took some pics of them with my phone, here is my favorite so far...

That's Typhannie in the front and Cherise in the back. They are growing up so fast. Typhannie will be 16 in May and Cherise is 14. I can hardly believe it, not too long ago I was there age.

Time flies when you are having fun, I guess.

The first day of spring was yesterday and it snowed about 16 inches here in Lincoln. Erik and I actually had to go buy snow shovels. We didn't need them at the apartment so we never brought ours from Colorado. Erik didn't go to work because of the storm. They have pretty much shut down the entire Interstate from Lincoln to Wyoming. WOW.

The roads were hella crappy yesterday but we ventured out into the storm to go to the movies. We saw "V For Vendetta". It was a very good flik. None of the previews really let you know what it is about so I was pretty leary, but I really enjoyed it. By the time we got out of the movie the roads were super hella crappy. And it took us some time to get home. We have this long drive way that can fit 5 cars, that was alot of fun shoveling that.

Hope your first day of Spring was better...

My mom emailed this cartoon to me. Its from the Omaha newspaper... Ain't it the truth...

Erik and I had sorta a "themed" movie night.

First we watched Signs, then we watched Independence Day, and we thought about ending it with Men In Black, but went to bed instead.

Nothing exciting going on here, the snow is melting and I think it will all be gone by tomorrow night.
