(or as much as I can remember)
Our Christmas was very quiet and uneventful. Friday I drove to Iowa to get the girls. I picked them up from school. They made me come inside and meet some friends and see the school. WOW, its been a long time since I stepped foot in a high school.
Christmas Eve day I had to work a few hours. Cherise got up early and went with me. We had waffles at the coffee shop next door. We opened our Christmas gifts before going to a "Celtic Christmas" service at a Methodist church. The service was excellent. We all enjoyed in tremendously. Then we took a little drive to look at Christmas lights.
Christmas day, I cooked. (Erik and I just finsished up the leftovers tonight) We also played "Harry Potter Scene It", which was a gift from our friends, Tod and Laurie. (who live back home in Ft. Collins)
Monday, we went to Target to spend our gift cards. Later we went to see "The Chronicles of Narnia..." and ate at CiCi's pizza buffet.
Tuesday, I took the girls to the salon and did their hair. Both of them got new haircuts and highlights. They got to meet all my work family. Of course everyone loved them and are still telling me how pretty they are. Then we drove to take them back, with a stop in Omaha to say goodbye to Erik. Lucky for me he was just getting off work, so we made him go for the ride too...
It was so nice to see the girls and I wish they could stay longer. Even though it was pretty chaotic having teenagers around. Erik and I lead such a quiet existence that is is easily disturbed.
