We are heading back to Colorado early in the morning for the holiday weekend. I'm so excited to see all my family and friends...
WOW! Our trip home went by way too fast... We didn't get to see everybody that we wanted, but we only really had 2 days. We are truely sorry to those who we missed....
We arrived in Colorado about 3 in the afternoon Saturday. We hung out with my parents. My Aunt, Uncle and 2 cousins came over for haircuts. Then we soaked in the hottub for a while.
Sunday was super busy... The girls and I had to do some ambush makeover type work. (T.E.A.M DIVA will be the name of our cable show) We went to the mall with our good but not girlie friend Laurie. Laurie is going on a cruise with her parents for their 50th wedding anniversary and needed some professional help. That's where we come in... We needed to get her ready for 2 formal dinners. We did have a great time at the mall. Then later that afternoon we had family over for great big BBQ. And its your our fault if you went home hungry.
Monday, 4th of July, we went to Tod and Laurie's for another BBQ. We got into a huge water fight and vollyball game. (not together) I also did 4 haircuts during all the chaos there. We ate ALOT... Then walked to City Park to see the fireworks. We got to bed around 1am.
Tuesday, we loaded up the car, went to breakfast with Tod and headed east. We stopped in Pierce CO, where my cousin lives on a farm. We played "wild kitten wranglers" for about 45 minutes. She has kittens, Erik wants a kitten. I only wanted it if it was a girl. It is a girl... So now Erik has a 10 week old baby kitten. ...
Who kept us up half the night. She got under our bed and woke us up crying for her family... After catching her again we cuddled with her, then Erik went to work and I stuck her under the covers next to my belly. She slept there til 9:30.
I hope you had a fun and safe 4th of July weekend...
Let's see.... What's been going on...
Wednesday the girls and I took a tour of the State Capital. VERY IMPRESSIVE!! We even got to go into the Gov's office....
The kitten finially has a name... Marzipan. She has really warmed up to us. We keep her in our bedroom, so she can get aquainted with us before being thrown into the ring with Sproket. She decides around 3 every morning that its play time. She also like to play in her litterbox.
Last night we went out to eat at Skeeter Barnes, its a BBQ joint... Wasn't inpressed much at all... Oh well.
Today while I am at work Erik and the girls are going to go see Episode 3. Cherise hasn't seen it yet and both Erik and Typhannie don't mind seeing it again.
Hope you are all doing well...
I haven't done this is a while.

Yea! The waiting is over! They have reached an agreement!
I am so happy!
Last night I stayed up later than I should have and when I when to bed the kitten decided it was time to play. For 2 hours. She's learned the best way to make the bedroom her personal race track. With the bed being the jump area.I think she was gearing up for ones of those 500 races. She took a 2 hour nap and then it was practice time again. I think she is going to graduate from the bedroom this weekend.
I got a total of 2-3 hours of sleep, maybe. Today is also one of my 11 hour shifts at work. I'm glad I left myself a sugar-free RedBull there.
In case you have been hiding under a rock for some time you probably already know that the 6th book ing the Harry Potter series is being released tonight at 12:01.
It was the doing of my oldest daughter that got me into these books. Since then I have gotten her each one when they came out. When book 5 was released I went to Barnes and Noble's release party. It was actually fun. Tonight, for this one my daughter is here with me. We are going together.
The highlight of the weekend was.... We went to see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". I was so excited. I loved it.... Johnny Depp is so awesome.
That was one of my absolute favorite movies growing up. That and "Wizard of Oz".
What I didn't care for in the movie is they changed all the oompa-loompa songs. And there were some other changes that I noticed but we will leave it alone.
The little girl who dumped a pitcher of ice cold water over my head while I was in the bath is in for a rude awakening!!!
Paybacks! Man! Paybacks!!
I am taking my time reading HP6. I know of several people who are already finished with it. I am going to enjoy it and only read a few chapters a day.
So don't ruin it for me...
Yesterday the girls and I went to Lincoln's idea of a water park. Star City Shores isn't that bad... They have 2 slides.
Its not at all like the big water park in Denver that we love.. We had a good time anyway. Now we are all a bit red from the sun.
I just finished HP6... Loved it.... I can't wait to discuss it with one of my co-workers who read it in a day...
YEAH, YEAH and SUPER YEAH!!!! I so can't wait for fall to start watching Hockey!!
Nothing really blogworthy going on around here...
The EX's truck broke down, he was suposed to come get the girls today. So Erik and I will be taking them home tomorrow. We've had a blast with them here.
Work is going well, although my manager drives me insane most of the time. I just wish I would win the lotto so I could open up my own little beauty shop (of horrors)
Can you believe that its almost AUGUST?!?!? This year is just flying by...
Well take care all...
