Just another day...

We ended up not going to the SCA revel last night. Erik had to work late. So instead we went to Outback and then to Wal*Mart... It was pretty uneventful...

But tonight is the med-week fighter practice so we WILL be going to that. Even if I have to go with his armor and meet him there...

After I have my meeting with my Avon team leader I am going to the Library to do some research on Roman History...

I may be on to something...

As I was cleaning my dirty kitchen this morning I had a brilliant idea. I have found out how to keep my kitchen clean all the time.

Don't use it... Eat out for every meal.

Maybe bring it out for special occasions but really just have it for show...

Operation: Roman Empire

So I went to the Library to search out materials for my quest to be Roman... Here's what I brought home:

Weather related...

Right now its 62 degrees and 88% humity... Its SUCKS!!!

Earlier we were under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and a Tornado Warning...

The sirens were going and the news guy was telling all of Lincoln to take cover. Head to the lowest part of the building.

I FREAKED just alittle...

I have never heard sirens before. It really wasn't fun... Erik was very calm about the whole thing, even continued playing his computer game before we headed downstairs. No-one else was down there so we went back upstairs. I sat there glued to the TV and he played on the computer. Then 15 minutes later the warning was lifted and it was all over. We still had some rain and thunder and the severve storm warning is in effect til like 2 am...

But I am not freaking out anymore.

Pain is weakness leaving the body...

I have been exercising this week. Even though our pool isn't very big, I have been swimming alot.

The other day I decided to go for a walk. I was going to walk to Pioneers Blvd (1/2 mile, one way) but when I got there I decided to go further. Then I got to Sheridan and thought, "I could keep going." I walked all the way to Van Dorn before turning back. Van Dorn is just under 2 miles from our house. My walk took me just over an hour. I walked about 3 3/4 miles.

I felt so good after my walk, I decided to do some crunches on my exercise ball. I only did maybe 25 of em, and man was I feeling it in the morning....

Erik had a quote from his Army drill sargent. "pain is weakness leaving the body" That doesn't make it hurt less.

The Butterfly Effect

Last night I watched the movie "The Butterfly Effect". I really liked it. I thought it was very intense and deep.

I wonder if you could go back and change some things in your past would you? I can think of several things I would change but how would they effect my life today?

Weekend Re-cap

Erik's friend Russ came for a visit this weekend. It was nice to see someone from home.

Erik took him tooling around town on Saturday, visiting comic book shops and what not.

Sunday we went to the park for fighter practice and enjoyed an SCA revel afterward. We ate lots of good food.

I am still finding it hard to make friends out here.

Wednesday I am going to be getting up EARLY with Erik and going to work with him. Once we get to his work I will take the car and go to Iowa and pick up the girls.
