I couldn't take the pressure... I spilled... I told Erik all about my plans for our Anniversary. We are going to stay in the Egyptian suite.... (click on "whirlpool suites", then Egyptian to check it out) I am looking forward to it... We are also going to go the the Zoo in Omaha.
I know... I can't keep a secret from him... Sue me...
Today is my baby girl's 15th birthday... I can't believe she is 15.... They grow up so fast...
Erik's Grandma is here for the night. She will be headed to Colorado in the morning. This is like a lay over for her roadtrip...
We took her to Valentino's Buffet for dinner. Now we are just sitting around talking...
She made us a quilt. I have been wanting her to make us one since we got married. Now I have it.
We are enjoying the netflix, but I'm not sure we are watching the movies fast enough.

We watched Walking tall on Sunday. I loved it. I love the Rock. (hubba hubba!) I stayed up late and watched Cellular that night too, so I will watch it again tonight with Erik. I watched the Stepford Wives last week on my day off, Erik doesn't have any interest in it so he's gonna skip it.
I have today off so I think I am going to spend some time with the Rock....
I'm trying to blog everyday this month... But nothing really exciting has happen in the past 24 hours. I watched The Amazing Race last night.... I'm so hooked...
GGGRRRRRR!!! I'm so upset that Rob and Amber are in 1st place.... I can't stand them.... I so want Joyce and Uchenna to win and next Tuesday is the end.

Its a small (20 tables maybe) family owned hole in the wall... Margarita's are half price on Wednesdays. The food was so good. They make the salsa fresh daily. It was all so yummy...

You thought that the ticks, tornadoes and the allergies were all of my woes... Now the news and paper have been warning us of these Mites that live in the oak tree and bite you. Leaving your body covered with rashes....
A client I had yesterday told me that the mites can come through your window screen with a breeze, then getting in your bed and biting the crap out of you while you sleep.

Oh yea, we still have to worry about the West Nile Virus.

I really didn't want to blog today.But since I set myself the goal of blogging everday this month, I didn't want to quit now.
Happy Mother's Day to all the other Mom's out there.
This Mother's Day is a disappointment so far. Just like the last 4.
Why should I be surprised? I just think that with me giving up evrything and moving 500 miles away from my home to be closer to them that my Ex would at least have my girls give me a call. (I guess its still early, its only just after 5pm) I'm sure that he had them do something for his new wife.
It just hurts....
So they did call me. Around 7pm....

I've had myself a nice day...
I started my day off with a good armpit waxing. (I know that doesn't sound like a good start to ANY day) Then on to work to pick up my check and then on to the bank to hand over my check.
Then I stopped at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Then to Starbucks. Then I had an important task, get Erik some swanky new Nebraska plates for his car. Then I went to Linens and Things, Tuesday Morning, Hobby Lobby then Rolling Wok. ( a little chinese take out place)
I must say, today is a fine day.
oops... I forgot I wanted to go to Old Navy...
Today should be a cake day... I work from 10-5. I started my new schedule this week. Here it is:
Sunday- Off
Monday- Off
Tuesday- 10-5
Wednesday- Off
Thursday- 9am-8pm
Friday- 9am-8pm
Saturday 9-5
I don't mind having 2 eleven hour days a week, I just don't really like them back to back. But I'll get used to it.
Oh my GOSH! I went through so many emotions watching the Amazing Race finale tonight...
I was up, I was down and I was upside down...
In the end I could not have been happier for the team I was rooting for. I cried as they made it to the finish line.

I know, I haven't blogged everyday like I said I wanted to.
Erik and I had a wonderful anniversary. But what happened the next day I'm not ready to talk about yet. I'll tell you this, it deals with the EX and I will feel better after I put the pieces back together. Just might take a day or 2.

Erik's Grandma was here last night again. We are her pit stop between Colorado and most any place she goes towards the east. It was good seeing her.
We invited KK over for dinner. I cooked for once and we all enjoyed each other's company.
Knowing that I will be "forced" to see Star Wars Episode III, I have been doing alittle reviewing.
Over the past few days I have watched Episodes IV, V, and VI. Then later this week I will watch I and II. I wanted to watch them in order of their release.
I must say, I didn't fall asleep watching them this time and it was like watching it for the first time ever.... Well actually I guess I was watching them for the first time ever.
I think I will watch the bonus features before moving on.
Since we get basic cable from the apartments I decided it was time to upgrade to digital cable with the DVR(like Tivo)... And 2 hours into it, I can't imagine life without it. It lets you pause, replay, rewind and even record live TV to watch later.
It works out great since tonight is the season finale of CSI and it starts at 7, but I don't get off work til 8.
Now I'll never miss a show...
Going to see episode 3 today at 1.
Nothing else going on.
Oh, 2 of the pools are open here. The one closest to our apartment isn't. Might go swimming later..

I am going to the pool with a good book, my MP3 player and some Diet Pepsi. I'll wait til noon to go though, in case someone from work calls and lets me know that our checks are in.
So far this has been quite a boring day.
Am I the only one who is tired of Rob and Amber?
They have had more than their 15 minutes... and now they are getting married. Big deal, but do we have to make a reality show out of it? This is like what, their 15th reality show?
Give me a break. I'm so done with Rob and Amber...
I went to the pool yesterday for a couple of hours. Yea, you can guess what happened. I got burned. But that's only gonna keep me out for a couple of days.
Luckily my face didn't get it, I was smart enough to put sunscreen on.
Not much going on today.
I need to clean up the kitchen. My friend/coworker Jo might come over for a dip in the pool. I am still burned and very sore so I will just stay in the shade when I'm not in the water. And I will use the sunscreen this time.
Erik and I went for a swim last night around 8:30, the water was cool and it felt so nice.
The only other thing on the agenda today is to watch the season finale of Alias. This is the fourth season and I have yet to get the 3rd season on DVD.
Someone is really having a bad hair life. OH MY GOSH! If I ever have hair like that, PLEASE tell me how stupid I look.

So last night Erik and I decided to check out the SCA here. We went to the local group's fighter practice, and met a few guys. There is another fighter practice on Sunday and on Tuesday there is an A&S/Populace meeting at the Library.
I am also considering changing my persona. I have been pretty generic european but now I am going to be Roman. So you can help me by telling me which of these 3 names you like.

The First name is the name you go by(Erik and I like Marina best), the second is your tribal (clan) name and the third is your family name. I am taking to my good friends' (Titus) clan and family. (plus it will make documenting my name a ton easier since he has already documented it)

Saturday I worked, Erik didn't. I don't know what exactly he does when I'm not here. I'm sure he played his game all day.
Sunday, we got in the garage and dug out his armor, tried to go to the Library. (They were closed for the holiday) Then we went to fighter practice. We each met new people and were invited to this get together tonight. I am nervous and excited to go. I really am in need of meeting people here. Its been a rough 3 months of not having any friends.
Monday, Erik was off and so was I. We did a whole lot of nothing. I spent part of the digging through some plastic totes looking for garb. (that's the outfits we wear in the SCA) Erik played on the computer.
See, I told ya. Nothing to exciting.
Well, I have been thinking for about a week about getting a (home-based) second job. I have really been putting alot of thought and prayers into it.
A. It would be a good way to meet people.
B. I can earn alittle extra money.
So I was trying to decide if I should sell Mary Kay or Avon. And as if someone was really listening and trying to steer me in one direction there were some ladies in our parking lot at work today giving away free stuff. And I am not one to pass up free stuff. They were promoting Avon, and for today only you can sign up to become an "Independent Avon Representitive" for only $5. Usually there is a much larger start up fee.
So now I am an Independent Avon Representitive... Tomorrow the lady who I am now under is coming over to finish getting me all set up. I am somewhat nervous. I did however sell Avon some 10 years ago and I have bought a fair bit of it since then, so I am familar with most of the products they offer.
P.S. I haven't told Erik yet... This could go either way...
Erik was pretty cool about it. He was just concerned that I would have to put money into it.
He's very supportive. I don't know what I would do without him...
