More Signs of Spring

Last night Erik went to grill some steak and had to clean out the grill of "nesting supplies". This morning I noticed a bird bringing grass to our patio. So I looked in the grill and there were more nesting supplies. So now I guess we are going to have to clean it out daily so that we don't have eggs next time we decide to grill.

Catching up

I have been a very bad blogger lately and I know it... For that I am sorry. But I'm here now to catch things up a bit.

Here's the latest on my WW. I gained 2 pounds. But this week I am hopeful, as I have been doing alot of exercising.... I have done alot of walking and we've been playing tennis.

I have been busy at work. I like that.

I went to a Church service Saturday evening at Lincoln Berean Church. I enjoyed it and will return. I'm not calling it "my church" just yet.

Sunday was a gorgeous day. We went out to lunch and did some shopping at Wal*mart. Then came home and enjoyed the day with the patio door open.

Next weekend I have both Saturday and Sunday off so we are going to Iowa to visit my girls. We'll stay in a hotel in Ames with the girls and probably just hang out. Maybe go see a movie or something.

Tonight Erik wants to go see Sin City. So I'm sure that's what we'll do.

Tomorrow before work, I'm going to wal*mart to pick up those photos I had done when the girls were here.

Well, now you have been de-briefed on what's going on here. Have a good day...

Feeling Stressed?

Give this a try... But hurry before its too late...

This much fun shouldn't be legal...

My personal ad...

MWCF seeks MWCF or SWCF (doesn't matter) for afternoon teas and shopping sprees. Possible LTR and maybe BFF and LYLAS and lots of LOL...

Its sorta irratating... I'm trying to make friends with people, but its just not working. We have been in Lincoln for 2 months now. The only socializing I have had is with Erik and his guy friends and my clients at work. I'd just like to have one girl-friend to hang out with....

WW update

I went to WW this morning... I lost exactly 1 pound... YEA ME!!!

FUNK

Did I mention that I have this Saturday off and we are going to go to Iowa this weekend to visit my girls? Well I just made reservations at a hotel in Ames for Saturday night.

Today I am in a semi-depressed funk. I feel like just going back to bed and staying there til tomorrow. But there are some things I need to get done today. Like:

Pack for the weekend trip
Clean the living-room and dining-room
Search the internet for things to do in Ames Iowa
Laundry
and Get out of my FUNK....

Ticks and Tornadoes...

Well... Tis the season I guess... Early though...

Today I cut a kids hair who had a tick on his head... I knew it wasn't lice so I said to the kid in a somewhat panicky voice,

"You know there's some kind of bug on your head?"
He says's "Oh its a tick." (totally not very concerned)

Then the kid proceeds to dig it out. He says he knew what he was doing... And since I know nothing of removing ticks I let him proceed. He told me of how he lives on a farm and has already moved 30 from his dogs. And he says ticks are going to be bad this year. I asked how do you know all this? His reply...

"When you've been in the business this long, you know."

Who am I to argue with a seasoned professional?

And we were under Severe Thunderstorm warnings, Tornado watches and now flood watches today... So aparently Tornado season is among us, early.

OH JOY!!

Who said that living in the midwest wasn't going to be fun?!?!?

Weekend with the girls...

As I mentioned before we went to Iowa to hang out with my girls over the weekend. We had a great time. We really didn't do anything extravigant. We went to the park in their town. The girls wanted some of their friends to meet us but I didn't want to go to each of their houses. So we met at the Skate park, then wen took a couple of them to this state park called "the Ledges". That was fun. Then we dropped off the friends and went to Ames.

In Ames we checked into our hotel and the girls and I went to Target. Erik stayed there and tried to finish his book but ended up taking a nap. Then we went to an all you can eat Chinese place and to the movies. Erik and Typhannie saw Sahara while Cherise and I saw BeautyShop.

Sunday we drove around Ames looking for the mall. That took a good hour and a half, because someone said they knew how to get there... Never get directions from a 15 year old who has her learner's permit...

We took the girls home about 3 and headed home ourselves. We go home around 7. It was a nice weekend, but it went fast.

Results not typical...

Ever see those ads for weight lose programs and see the fine print at the bottom that says, "Results not typical"? Well that's the story of my life right now. I went to WW this morning and found out that I gained 3 pounds.

I am so discouraged right now. I have been doing WW since last October and I haven't see any improvment at all. I know I should continue to go but part of me wants to just throw in the towel.

Right now I really don't feel motorvated. But in hopes of getting motorvated I am going to be Brutelly honest with you and myself.

The wondering is over...

Now we can all get some sleep, and stop wondering.... Britney Spears is in fact with child.

BIG FAT HAIRY DEAL!!

I'm alive

WOW... I haven't posted in a week. I thought I'd let you all know that I am alive and well. Nothing too exciting going on here.

Last night we had one heck of a Thunderstorm. It was a wicked light show. Today we have a high of 80 and 30% chance of rain. (its already 70 degrees)

Right now I am watching the new Pope stuff on CBS. I just happened to be watched The Price is Right when they interupted. I'm not Catholic but I watched it because its history and I like history...

Just Sad

Ok, there's something terribly wrong here in Nebraska...

When I was in Junior high school my best friend and I started a S.A.D.D. chapter. I have since then been dead set against drinking and driving.

Well, since living here I have met several people that don't seem to think that stopping off at the liquer store and getting a drink "to go" is wrong. They are even shocked that I think it is appaulling....

Ummm... HELLO?!?!?!

I just can't even say anymore.... Its just so wrong on so many levels...

Secret....

So, guess what... I just made reservations for Erik and I at a hotel that has themed rooms for our 5th anniversary.

I haven't told him yet, and I'm thinking about making it a sursprise. But he occasionally reads my blog so I may have just spilled the beans. Oh well, he doesn't know all the particulars...

This one is pretty darn accurate...

Your Birthdate: December 29
Your birthday on the 29th adds a tone of idealism to your nature.

You are imaginative and creative, but rather uncomfortable in the business world.

You are very aware and sensitive, with outstanding intuitive skills and analytical abilities.

The 29 reduces to 11, one of the master numbers which often produces much nervous tension.

This is the birthday of the dreamer rather than the doer.

You do, however, work very well with people.
