You know you're out of shape when...

You pull your calf muscle going down the stairs to take the dog for a walk.

Tuesday, Tuesday, read all about it...

tuesday is chooseday

either leave your answers or a link to your webpage with your responses.

    Would you rather:
  1. have your purse/wallet stolen OR your car stolen?
  2. have a ticket to the grammy awards show OR the academy awards?
  3. be three feet taller OR three feet shorter?
  4. for the rest of your life, talk like yoda OR breathe like darth vader?

1. purse... been there done that.
2. I'd like to thank the Acadamy...
3. 8'3" or 2'3".... that's tough... I guess taller...
4. Talk like Yoda, I would like. In riddles, he speaks...

Nothing to blog about...

I don't really have anything to blog about, but I can't stand looking at the calender to the left and only seeing that I blogged once this month. I don't care that it is the beginning of the month I just look like a blog loser.

Anyway, I am still liking my new job. The other girls are still nice to be around. I am doing alot of hair, (sept for yesterday we we not too busy)

Erik got us The Sims 2 University (sorry I didn't tell you on the phone last night, Aimee). I played for a good 3 hours this morning. Its fun... I got my sim through her Freshman year and she made the Dean's list with a GPA of 4.0 (unlike me in high school)

I have 4 days off (not in a row) before I go get the girls for Spring Break. I still need to make the second bedroom into a bedroom for them and not a storage unit... Today I cleaned and unpacked the bathrooms. Yes, I know the bathrooms should have been unpacked already. But you cannot BELIEVE the amount of bathroom supplies a hairstylist has... I still don't know where it all came from and where it is all suposed to go.

Oh well... TOODLES!!! Have a great day...

Spring break

I haven't had much chance to blog all weekend. Erik was playing Sims 2 every waking moment.

There hasn't been alot to blog about anyway.

I was going to go get my girls on this Saturday, for spring break next week, then I talked to my ex on Sunday and guess what? HE"S BRINGING THEM TO ME FOR A CHANGE.... His idea even... Hmmmmm... He wants to "check out where we live"... You know he can really be an ass. Yes, an ass... Did I go and check out where he was living when he took them to Iowa in the first place? Does he think that I would live in such a place that would be unfit for my girls. I'm just alittle annoyed right now.

But I am glad that he is doing some driving. He never brought them to Colorado, or came to "check out where I was living". Why is he so concerned now? Anyway, I'm not worried. We live in a nice neighborhood and my house is cleaner than his. He has nothing to say.

Oh yeah, my next entry will be my 600th. I need to make it good...

Girls, girls, girls!

Yeah!

My girls showed up Saturday about 6:15pm. The EX and the rest of his family (wife and 2 other kids) stayed about an hour then left to go on to their 3 1/2 hour drive home. We went out to eat at Ticos. Came home. Typhannie and I watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" Very interesting movie... Cherise and Erik played Sims 2.

Yesterday we drove tho Omaha and went to the Henry Doorly Zoo. That was very cool. They have a Desert Dome, a Rain Forest, an Aquarium and 3 new baby tigers... We only spent 4 hours there and the girls were asking to leave.

Today Erik is taking the day off to hang out with them, he's also going to go to the DMV and get his Nebraska lisense. I'll probably go next week.

Man, we are having lots of company. The girls are here for a week. I take them home on Thursday and then on Friday my Mom is coming, then the following weekend (Easter) Erik's Mom will be here.

Well that about wraps it up for now. Toodles...

Mid-week Briefing...

Its been fun spending spring break with the girls. Monday I had to work so Erik stayed home to hang out with them. When I came home they had a candlelight dinner ready and we sipped "Sparkling Cider". It was very elegant.

Yesterday, the girls and I went on a shopping spree at the mall. That took most of the day. We were going to go get our pictures taken, but we'll have to do the today or tomorrow. We went to Valentino's for dinner last night with Ty and Wendy and their crew.

I usually work 1-8 on Wednesday's but I'm not going in til 4:30. I'm going to take the girls then Erik will come pick them up when he gets in town.

The week is quickly coming to an end though... I have to take them back to Iowa tomorrow afternoon...

Lesson Learned...

I found out today how Wal*mart can get away with having those cheap-ass portrait packages for 8 bucks. They take all these "additional" shots and you like them so much that you spend an extra $150 that you hadn't intended on. Therefore, when every 3rd or 10th (or whatever) person buys the additional crap they make push upon you, they make a profit...

I'm a sucker....

The ones they took that weren't in the original package are so good, and I haven't had photos done of the three of us since they were little. So all in all its worth it. But Geez, it came to $169 all together... And I did get a FREE 10x14 canvas...

Oh well, I learned a lesson today...

I've been caught

Before we left Colorado, several people I worked with were getting that nasty stomach flu thing and I avoided it. Then for the three days I worked at JCP here, several people had a bad cold thing and I was spared. Then last week a few gals at my current place of employment had been getting bugs.

Well yesterday morning I woke up with a scratchey throat and as the day progressed so did my little bug thing. By the time I got home I felt pretty bad.

Today I have a sore throat, stuffy nose and ears. I hope it doesn't get too bad.

WW Reloaded

Two weeks ago I rejoined Weight Watchers and found out that I weighed exactly the same as when I joined WW the first time back in October. I didn't go last Thursday because I was driving the girls back to Iowa.

So today I went (reluctantly!) and I lost 1.6 pounds. I'm feeling pretty good about that.

Its Official...

I am now a Nebraska resident. Today I went and traded in my Colorado Driver's License for a Nebraska.

Also I got License plates for my car...

weekend re-cap...

Here's a quik rundown of the weekend's events... Erik's Mom and her Husband Ray were here for the weekend.

They spent a few hours with us Friday night. Then all day with Erik on Saturday. After I got off work we went to The Cracker Barrel for dinner. Well I had dinner the three of them had breakfast.

Sunday I made a kick ass Easter meal. We watched a few movies that they had brought up. One was Cher's Farewell tour concert DVD. I am a huge Cher fan. I'm gonna hafta get me a copy of this. It was awesome. Let me tell ya, Cher kicks ass... They left around 5.

Erik and I also went to see Vin Diesel's new movie The Pacifier. It was really good. I like seeing him in a different type role.. (I liked seeing him in the shower too..)

So all in all we had a nice weekend.

And on that note I'd like to quote Cher... "Follow this, you bitches!"

Spring is HERE!

Yesterday we reached 78 degrees and it was beautiful. I went on a 2 1/2 mile walk, even saw some tulips starting to bud.

Today its windy and rainy. I woke up to thunder. We have a high of 58.

At least its not snowing...
