Things are not going as expected in the area of the new job... I'm not sure how its going to work out. My first 3 days have been pretty awful...
Day one... There are these 5 or 6 girls that won't give me the time of day. There are 2 that will. Also on day one, one of the girls that won't talk to me puts a notice on everybody's station, it reads:
"Hey Everyone... Attention... XXXXXXX is missing a ring and it is a one of a kind ring so if you find it please give it back. It is silver and has a white stoneon the top. It would be appreciated if you could give it back or we will have to get loss prevention involved. Thank you"
I don't give it much thought, because its my first day and why would I know anything about it. Right?
Day Two... The same set of girls won't talk to me... I am polite, smile and saying "Hi" I just don't get it... I'm nice... So later that evening I am talking to another girl (one of the 2 that will talk to me) and she tells me that XXXXXXX thinks that I have her ring, because I wear a ring on my right hand that looks like her ring.... But she wouldn't come to me that day and ask me about my ring. So on my first day I am marked as a thief.... Why would I steal something an wear it on my first day?
So I write XXXXXXX a note and leave it on her station for her to read on Monday. It says:
"XXXXXXX,
I am aware that you are missing a ring and think that I have it. I assure you that the ring I am wearing is not yours. I purchased this ring at JCP in Colorado last fall. It says on the inside "Thailand" so it is not a one of a kind. I am sorry for the confusion, you are more than welcome to take a look at my ring. Also, next time feel free to talk to me, I am a very approachable person. I am not trying to start something here. I would just like to get along with everyone and have things go smoothly.
Cheryl"
So what do you think? I know what all you SDA people are thinking... If I didn't wear the ring in the first place...
Also on Day Three... the new stylist is to get all the walk-ins if he/she is available (thats company policy) I got skipped over for 3 haircuts in a row and I was standing there at the front desk ready to go the whole time...
One of the girls that will talk to me, is leaving soon and she told me of a salon that she used to work at, that she recomends I go take a look at if I am not happy here. I might just do that... I don't need all this drama....

I can't believe they thought you stole her ring, how long was it missing before she decided to blame it on you. Were you even there when miss klutz lost it?

Hey Cheryl, I'm an SDA and honestly the first thought that entered my mind is, "Those girls are Super Jerks." How can people be so heartless and cruel! That just amazes me.
Who cares about the stupid ring - that's between you and God and you've gotta work that one out on your own.
Good for you in not just sitting around and taking the 'crap' thrown from what was hitting the fan. As I get older - I realize time is too short to take that junk. The stress ain't worth the unhappyness it brings. That's bad for family and that's the whole reason you moved. So You Go Girl!!!
Hope this new job is a 'dream job' for ya!
Enjoy Nebraska.
