1. I already don't use the home phone. Couldn't live without the internet.

4. Get right of you, there are more subsitutions, It would be hard to come up with an alternate word for the.

Try not to pass out, I'm actually participating!
1. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to never use the phone again. the internet however... that's an entirely different story!
2. Never fly again. Driving is a daily necessity.
3. Never taste sour, I suppose. Though I'd probably end up missing it once it was gone.
4. You. You're right that there would be no substitute for the word "the".
