Remote Blogging

All systems down, send help...

Our computer is not cooperating again. It was down last week for like 5 days. (Although I don't think anyone noticed) Erik was able to get it somewhat fixed Saturday night and then again on Sunday it took a dive. So right now I'm next door on my Mom's computer.

It didn't look as though I was missed much. I can't get to my Nelsonfamily.org email from here so I don't know how many messages I have there. You can send me email to my gmail. LadyPhae@gmail.com. If you'd like that is.

Erik and I have been under a ton of stress due to his job. We may get out of Dodge sooner than we thought. Today I am working on a resume for him then we are going to send it out to a bunch of companies in Lincoln. Please keep us in your prayers.

I have WW tonight. So think skinny thoughts for me. This past week I have been going on 2 mile walks, hopefully that'll do me some good at the scales tonight.

Well til next time, take care.

The Saga Continues...

Well we are still having problems with our computer. Erik has been working so hard on it. He found out we have a "Trojan Virus". We can use our computer for anything but the internet, which is all we really use it for. He found out the the only way to get rid of this crappy virus is to unistall and reinstall EVERYTHING! And reformat the C drive. I'm not sure what that all intails but I can tell by his cursing its not a good or fun thing.

@*&%$#! That sucks... So I am without my precious internet for the time being... My precious....

IN OTHER NEWS....

Happy Election day! Thank God this is almost over, I don't think I can handle anymore election ads.... I am very nervous to what the outcome of this election may be. I am a Bush supporter* and I am very scared of what could happen in our beloved country if Kerry wins.

This is why I vote for Bush... Gen 12- (God speaking to Abraham, father of Isreal) "I will bless those who bless thee and I will curse those who curse thee" Bush supports Isreal and Kerry does not.

*note... This is MY website and My opinion, I'm not asking anybody to agree with me, nor am I out to start an arguement. We are all entitled to our own thoughts.

Remote Blogging SUCKS

Just a quick note to tell you all that our computer still sucks.

I am Blogging from work. Not really suposed to but I was never really told that I couldn't...

We went to see the Incredibles last night.... Freakin' best movie I have seen in a long time....

Take care... Have a great rest of your weekend...

Blogging from next door,

When will this nightmare end? Soon I hope.

There really isn't anything terribly exciting going on right now. We are still thinking about moving, well we made the desision to move but haven't really started on a game plan yet. I have no idea where to start. We are however going to Lincoln in a few weeks to check out the job situation and maybe talk to to some rental property places. I guess that is a good place as any to start, eh?

My girls have known about the move since they were here this summer and last week I was talking to "he who must not be named" (my ex) about Christmas stuff. I'd really like to have the girls for Christmas since I haven't had them since the first year they moved out there. So during the conversation with him I thought I'd bite the bullet and just tell him of my plans. I still haven't quit figured out how he took it. He's good at hiding his emotions.

I can't tell you how freakin' nervous it makes me to talk to him. Its almost like he still has this power over me. I am trying very hard to be strong and not let him get to me. I mean we will have to deal with each other for a very long time...

True Love

The Princess Bride
I'm sure it's no big surprise to you that your
romance is The Princess Bride. A heartwarming
tale of "Twue Wuve" that has giants,
Spainards and swashbuckling. You really do
think that love can overcome anything. You may
be a touch naive but your heart is certainly in
the right place. You've probably got one of
those relationships where proper nouns have
been replaced with "Snookums" and
"Pookie Pie". Eww. Beware a cuteness
overload.

Day off

Today was a good day.

My Mom called (and woke me up, that wasn't good.) We went to Starbucks downtown then window shopping in Old Town. We dilly-dallied around for a good couple hours. Then I came home and played around on the internet, talked to a guy from a lending company in Lincoln about getting financing for a housee, went to the weekly Taco Bell lunch, 'sept we went to Subway. Came home, gave Uncle Darrel a buzz. Went on a walk with my Mom, then our friend Claire came over and her and I went to the Beauty Supply to get her some haircolor. Came back to my house, colored her hair. Jamie came over to hang out and I sent her to rent a couple movies. She rented "Twisted" (I have seen) and "The Others" (she has seen).

I enjoyed both the movies. Had a hard time really figuring out what exactly was going on with The Others. I knew the jist of it but not how it all came about. I like movies that make you think...

Tomorrow I gotta work, I don't think I have too much lined up. I hope that changes. I need a good day to finish up the week. I have had several highlights this week and would like to have at least one for tomorrow.

I am looking forward to sleeping in on Sunday. Erik and I are going to relax, then on Monday I am going to get serious about things around the house. I am going to start packing up things that we may not really need for the time being. So that if we need to move on short notice I will be half way ready.

Quote

When my Mom and I were out today I got this magnet that is my new quote... Its very much fitting to my personality...

"Those who dance are thought mad, by those who do not hear the music"

Pay attention Scott, we may have to change the look of my site and have that in the header... (*Batting eyes and pouty lip*)

We will be going to Lincoln the first weekend in December, to try to find jobs and talk with our "guys" mentioned above.

Things are really starting to roll....

Please keep us in your prayers.

Capricorn

You know, I must agree. I never really got into the whole Zodiac thing. What I have read about the "typical capricorn" personality, I never thought I really fit in that catergory.

You are 53% Capricorn

Books

You're Lolita!
by Vladimir Nabokov
Considered by most to be depraved and immoral, you are obsessed with sex. What really tantalizes you is that which deviates from societal standards in every way, though you admit that this probably isn't the best and you're not sure what causes this desire. Nonetheless, you've done some pretty nefarious things in your life, and probably gotten caught for them. The names have been changed, but the problems are real. Please stay away from children.
Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.

Happy 500!!

This is my 500th post... I wanted to make it special but I have nothing...

I went to WW tonight and again this week I have only lost ounces... 4 ounces to be exact. BUT Aimee over there, its her first week and she lost 3.2 pounds. WE HATES HER! I just don't know that I can be her friend anymore... Nah, I'm happy for her...

I did talk to my realtor guy in Lincoln, he was telling me more about the house and is going to send me more info in the morning. I am getting alittle excited... Even though we promised not to make any decisions until we've seen it.

Keep us in your prayers... g'nite...

  2. never know your real parents OR find out one of your parents is an escaped convict?
  3. get stopped by every red light when driving OR always have to pick out a wedgie?
  4. have hair grow on your tongue OR warts on your nose?

1. French, Italian, Spanish and Russian

4. I guess hair on my tongue, at least it wouldn't be as noticable...

There ya go, have fun kids...

Tuesday Chooseday Update...

I'm changing my mind on the languages. I no longer want to speak Russian, I want Sign Language.

Yesterday in the mall food court, I saw this cople talking in Sign Language and I had a "blog moment". I suddenly thought "Ah! I should have picked Sign Language for my Tuesday Chooseday".

Big Thanks!

I'd like to thank the Acadamy.... no wait... I'd like to send out a thanks to Scott... for hooking me up with a mood deal there on the left side... THANK YOU!

FYI... I don't do my own web designing. I don't have the knowedge or the patience to learn. I do the journeling part and when I have an idea for a change I talk to Scott. He's the guy who got me started on this Blogging adventure. And I'd like to tell him Thanks for that too. I have had most fun in Blogland.

Have a great day Scott!

The HULL has been BREACHED!!

I have noticed recently that I have a ton of comments. Over 5000... Curious?!?!? I didn't think I was that popular.

I checked into it, its mostly SPAM. It started out only in older posts but their are gaining on me, they have reached Nov. 14th, and by the time I get a chance to sit down and delete the bastards, they will have past me up and I will have to post for the SPAM comments.

So my question is WHY??? WTF, is the reason for filling up peoples comment boxes with ads for home morgage loans? Did I visit a website that triggered this? Why do other people get ads for Viagra and I get Home morgage loans? It doesn't seem fair.

So I will be spending my day off tomorrow wearing out the delete button, unless someone tells me there is an easier way...

The Friday Five

Like the Tuesdays, but different...Its the Friday Five...

1. If you were a shoe, what would you look like?
2. If you were a t-shirt, what would you say?
3. If your house caught on fire and was burning to the ground...what is the one thing you'd save and why?
4. If you were a book...would you read yourself?
5. If you could do anything at all (without consequences), what would you do?

1. A tall, sleek red strappy heel
2. Spear Britney
3. My family
4. Is the book about my life? Maybe...
5. Hmmm... that's tough, set up the powerball numbers so that I won.

Its all yours... Run with it..

Monday

Today consists of...

Going to IHOP with my Mom ( I want yummy pumkin pancakes)
Going to the beauty supply
Going to Foley's to pick up shoes they are holding for me
Come home and color Mom's hair
Go cash check from Mom (yes, even Mom has to pay for her haircare)
Go to WW (find out that I gained a pound) (I haven't been very good this week)
Maybe talk Erik into seeing a movie, I really want to see National Treasure.

What's on your agenda?

SHOE HIGH!!

YEAH!! I love the feeling of going shoe shopping... As I said earlier Foley's was holding a pair of shoes for me... Dress shoes.. They were $49 marked down to $24 and today they were giving an extra 40% off clearance! YEAH! That means I paid $14.97 for $50 shoes!!

I seriously think I get alittle buzz off of shoe shopping. Just walking by shoes and smelling that new shoe smell is enough... BUT MAN!! When I get to take a pair home. Seriously, watch out... Now all I need is a great black skirt and this blue Mandarin style shirt I saw at Mervyn's, and I will be ready to go to a few holiday parties.

Happy Tuesday

tuesday is chooseday

either leave your answers or a link to your webpage with your responses.

    Would you rather:
  1. have every driver but you be a "student driver" OR have every driver but you be over 75 years old?
  2. be dating someone who insists that every electric device in both of your homes be controlled by those "clap on, clap off" devices OR that every piece of furniture have plastic covers?
  3. have regular encounters with aliens and not have any proof OR have your best friend be invisible?
  4. stick your hand into a sealed box of rattlesnakes OR stick your hand into a box filled with unknown contents that are making a mechanical buzzing sound?

1. I'll take my chances with the old drivers. I can out run them.
2. Clap on...
3. My best friend is invisible....
4. I think my chances of living through the ordeal are better with the box of buzzing...

Subliminal messages

Subliminal messages are everywhere, even the products we use everyday...Its scary.

This is just wrong and not for the weak... Aimee sent this to me, and I don't think I will ever be the same.

Act your age please...

How many times should a grown adult be asked to sit still when you are trying to get their hair done? Seriously... I had the client from hell today, or maybe she just suffers from some Attention Deficate Disorder.

I was doing foil highlights on her (after doing an all over color) This gal would continuously sit forward on the edge of the chair making it difficult to reach her. And if that isn't enough she then would turn her head to either talk to me or look in the mirror. I asked her about 76 times to sit back in the chair. I just wanted to pull her hair out... AND she would question everything I was doing like I needed to be quizzed on this after doing it for nearly 13 years.

After her I had another foil, this was the gal who has to touch her hair every 5 seconds. It doesn't matter that I am working on her hair at all, she has to check it out halfway through the haircut. Its not like I don't let them check it out when I feel I am finished. I usually hand them a mirror and a brush if they want it. I am never done with someone's hair until they've looked at it. But until I let you look at it, SHUT UP AND LET ME DO MY WORK.

So this is a public service note for whenever you go and get your hair done... SIT STILL AND LEAVE YOUR HANDS OUT OF IT... Remember THERE is a reason why you PAY us to do YOUR HAIR!!

Thank you for your support....

Thanksgiving Wrap Up

Happy thanksgiving everyone.

We went to Denver to Tim and Mary's, and the whole Nelson family. (minus Scott and Staci) We ate SOOO MUCH!! And I didn't count points yesterday. Erik and I took the gamecube and played for hours with everybody. Sue and Susan and I had a discussion about Pfaltzgraff and I finially declared "Grapevine" as my pattern. We went online and looked at just about everything Pfaltzgraff has. We drew names for our Secret Santa gifts. I'd tell ya who I drew but them I'd have to kill ya.

It was quite a day...

Wish List

I have created a wish list at Pfaltzgraff and its a big one. No one should have any problems finding me something for Christmas or my birthday. (which is 4 days after Christmas) To look at my wish list go to their website and click on "registry", then "look at a friend's wish list", then type in "chernel21@msn.com" for my email. Then there you have it...

SPAM HELL

YEA!! Mission (near) complete!

I have been working so hard the past few days on deleting SPAM comments and closing past posts comments. It is today that I got to the end. (Well nearly, I got to the beginning of this month) Did you know that I started blogging in Sept. 2001? GOSH!! I have 500+ posts and 5000+ comments. Now I am down to 634 comments...

Dear Spammers,

LEAVE ME ALONE!!

Love, Cheryl

WW week 8

Since some people don't think I have a life, I'll go ahead and tell you all the good news. (I was going to wait til tomorrow)

Tonight I went to my WW meeting and I lost 1.2 pounds. I know that's not much to brag about but its the biggest lose I have had and I am still coming off of Thanksgiving... I am proud of myself regardless of what you may think.

I'm heading to bed early, I have a cold...I woke up this morning with a sexy voice and I probably won't have any voice tomorrow. I have been hitting the bottle of Nyquil, so I know I will sleep soundly.

Erik has been in bed since 8:45, I don't know what his deal is... He's probably tired because I may have kept him up snoring. (due to me being all stuffy)
