can't sleep

So here I am, at nearly 2am... I can't sleep... I finished my latest mystery novel. "If Looks Could Kill" By Kate White. I laid in bed for almost an hour before deciding to get up and get on the computer. Also I am filing down my newly acrylic'd nails. I got them alittle longer than I really wanted. So it gives me something to do while I try to get tired...

ROUND #3 AT THE DMV...

So I still haven't gotten my license in the mail as promised... And the bloody 30 days are up yesterday. So I went in there to A) see if it has shown up there and B) to see what they suggested be the next step. To my shock it had NOT turned up there, BIG SURPRISE!! Then I tell them what an agrivating mess their "new" procedures are. And they were actually nice about it. (which doesn't make it any less agrivating) They then tell me that they will redo the license for me at no cost. And I will get it in the mail in 7-10 days... And they sugegest I talk to the post office.

So then I go to the post office, also because there are several other pieces of mail I have not gotten. I wait in line after about 7 people. There are only 2 post office people working and more people coming in behind me. When I get up to the counter, I can't think of what to say so I just blurt out "I'm not getting all my mail." So he says, "let me get you a supervisor"

Well low and behold, the supervisor who helps me is in charge of my mail carrier. I then tell her that I'm not getting all our mail and she says, "what makes you say that?" I then go through telling her about several things including my drivers license and state board of cosmetologists license renewal form and several other things that I knew were coming but not received... I give her our address and she new our name and said that she hasn't seen anything come back for us. But she would keep an eye out...

So what am I suposed to do now? She never mentioned that...I think that the post office and the DMV are somehow in this together.

Uncle Herb:

It a conspiracy! Never doubt it. Just remember it's a govm't agency, so what do you expect?

QC:

Ooooh, I loved "A Body to Die For," also by Kate White! It was like Miss Marple meets Carrie Bradshaw. How was "If Looks Could Kill?"

I never understood how the post office regulates their carriers. I mean, I know I get lots of mail that isn't mine put in my box - I put it back in the slot and write on it that it was put in the wrong box .... I always wonder how much of my mail is ending up in someone elses box.
