1 More day!

Yea!! 1 more day til VACATION!!

I was suposed to work my normal 1-9 tomorrow but I talked to the manager and she is letting me do a 11-7 instead. Erik and I are gonna head out on the open road tomorrow night instead of Friday morning. I am so much not a morning person. I know there is no way I could get up at 4 or 5 and be on the road at 6 in the morning...

I won't be able to post while I am gone, so I am planning on keeping an "old school" journel while on the trip. That way I will also have something to scrapbook with all the photos I will be taking.

We should be back on the 13th of October... See ya then...

WE have returned

We got back last night around 9:30... It was a very long drive... I'll fill in all the datails later, just wanted to let everyone know that we did make it back safely.

Pnuemonia

I'm sorta back to the land of the living. All last week I had been sick. (still am) I had this terrible cough and couldn't get any deep breaths. So Friday I went in to see my Doc. and left with 3 prescriptions and Pnuemonia. And she gave me a shot in the ASS! Today I am feeling about 50% better and have to go see her again.

This weekend, I had Erik take the mattress off of the futon and lay in on the floor in front of the couch. We watched movies (Lord of the Rings, and Matrix Reloaded) and TLC all weekend.

Someday soon I promise I'll tell ya about our vacation...

Time flies

Time flies when you are having fun right?

Monday I went back to the Doctor. She didn't like the progress I have made and I had to get chest X-rays. I'm apparently not doing very well... I can't go back to work until I see her again next Tuesday.... All I have been doing is laying on the futon mattress that I had Erik move to in front of the TV. Watching plenty of TLC and BBC america But at least she didn't throw me in the hospital, which I fear is her next step if I don't get any better... So keep me in your prayers.

So today I think I will start working on a few things around here. Like going through boxes in the garage... Even though it may take all day, I'll be one box closer, right?

AVS

Oh yea, did you see the game last night? We started out good then let it all go. The Bruins beat us 3 to 1. I was very disappointed... There's always tomorrow right?

Moving up north?

Ok, I'm gonna be upfront with ya'll. During our vacation, Kat and Steve tried to talk us into moving up there. (like they do everytime we talk to them) and this time we really didn't have much of an arguement.

Really there is nothing keeping us here. Yea, our families are here. But there is family there too. Both our jobs aren't exclusive to this area. I can take my scissors anywhere. So on the 20 hour drive home Erik and I talked about it. And we still haven't come up with any answers.

Yesterday I talked to Kat on the phone, and the subject came up again. She is going to send us a few of the "apartment finder" books. There is no way this can happen anytime soon. I'm not moving out there like Russ and Shell did and only take what they could fit in the car. We are just going to have to pray about it and see where God leads us.

Avalanche hockey

What a difference a day (or 2) makes! The AVS beat the Oilers 6-1! With Peter Forsberg getting his 200th career goal and a hat trick! YEA!!! It was a great game...

The weekend in review

My time off is just about to an end. I go back to the Dr. on Tues. and I am going back to work then too. No matter what she has to say. I can't afford to be sick any longer, and besides being sick and stuck at home sucks.

This weekend sorta went by fast and really unnoticed. Yesterday we slept in and woke up to the doorbell. I forgot that my Dad arranged for this guy to come look at my old rundown car. He bought it for his girlfriend's son to fix up. So I 'm glad that's over and done with. They will pick it up tomorrow. My Dad made 60some krautburgers. (very yummy!) Jamie and I went to church.

Today Erik and I just sorta hung out around the house til Ernie called from Grandma's. Ernie and Georgia came over and took us out to a late lunch at "Armadillo's". We had a nice visit with them. I ate WAY too much. Its some 6 hours later and I am still hurting.

I spent some quality time next door helping my Mom put up new drapes in their bedroom and then in the hot tub. After that I came home and Erik and I watched the hockey game until Alias started. Then we only watched hockey during the commercials. (The AVS lost to the Sabers) Now we are watching "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and I can hear Erik cracking up from the other room.

follow up visit

Went to the Dr. this morning to see how I am doing. I am feeling better. Even though it really doesn't take alot for me to wear out. She said it could take a month or two to get over pneumonia even for a healthy person. So next month I get to go see her for the dreaded "yearly woman exam". Joy, that will be fun! I have to go back to work today, but she still wants me to try and take it easy and not overdo myself... Good thing I don't stand on my feet ALL day, right?
