Spraying the city

The city of Ft. Collins started spraying for mosquitos this week. Tonight they are in our neighborhood. Aparently there are people who are against this for some reason that I can't understand. I ventured out about a half an hour ago to get food and saw "NO NOT SPRAY" signs in front of several houses. I don't get it... These people would rather get West Nile Virus than have a little headache that the spray might give them. So far there is some 800 cases of WN (that have been reported) and 8 deaths. I know of 4 people who have it and 1 who has died of it. Do these people think that the spray isn't going to affect them if it isn't sprayed directly in front of their house. That it will not drift over from the neighbors? Maybe I am wrong but I agree with them spraying to protect us who haven't yet gottan the virus...

Uncle Herb (studley!!):

Maybe they think it will make them impenent!! (don't know how to spell that!)

Aunt Sue :

UNCLE HERBIE!! Watch it, there!

I agree with you, Cheryl. I'm wishing they would spray here. Last night there was ONE (1) mosquito that got in the house and chasing us and I'm thinking "ARGH-H! Go away, leave me alone, I don't want WN!!"

Did you know that Weld and Larimer Counties are the 2 top counties in Colorado for that stuff?

Someone died from it that YOU know? Who was that? That's hitting too close to home.

Cheryl (the favorite cousin):

The person who I know that died is the mother of one of my clients.

In related news, I have had a headache for about a week and today feel like I have be run down by a mack truck more than once. I am going to wait out the weekend and if I don't feel better Monday I am going to get tested.

Cheryl :

Oops, I guess I am probably not my favorite cousin... That's for when I visit Jamie's site...

Scary stuff.

And no fair that my Dad is commenting on your page and not mine! What's up with that?!

Thank you Scotty, now I know and knowing is half the battle... Right?
