Today is the day! The

Today is the day! The American Cancer Society Relay for life. I'm getting all my stuff packed up and going to meet my team around 1pm. Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us. The high today is like 50 something and I'm sure it will be cool overnight. This is an 18 hour relay event that starts around 6 tonight and ends at noon tomorrow. We are the 45th team, I'm not sure how many total teams there are, and each team has 8-12 people on them. We raised donations for the ACS. All the donations raised here in Colorado stay here in Colorado for research and support.

Well I have a big day ahead of me... Talk to ya later.

The Relay For Life was

The Relay For Life was awesome. There were about 65 teams of 8-12 people on each team.We raised over $80,000 for cancer reseach... And despite the weather conditions we had a great time and we will be participating again next year.

Yesterday was Father's Day, Happy father's Day to all the Dads that might come across this. We went up to Vedawoo with Erik's Dad to "burn a bird" (otherwise have BBQ'd chicken) We did alittle rock climbing and socializing. It was a nice day to be up there. On the was home I decided that we should check out the Lincoln Monument that isn't to far away from Vedawoo.

When we got home we watched "K-PAX". I really enjoy movies that aren't predictable. This one sorta took me for a loop. It was much better than I was thinking it was going to be.

MY WILD NIGHT! Had a

MY WILD NIGHT!

Had a very short night last night... Didn't even get home til after 1:30am... So what was I doing? There was a time when I'd occasionally close down the bars, last night I closed down the book store...I was with about half of the population of Ft. Collins and waiting in line for the much antisipated release of Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix. The 5th book in the series. These books keep getting longer and longer, this one has 870 pages... The most exciting thing about this whole thing to me is that there were so many people there. There were people of all ages standing in lines.
ALL TO GET A BOOK!!! And that to me is so exciting! When is the last time you went to a book store and there were 1000 people there? There were people dressed in costumes and there were activities for kids... It was a regular circus! At the book store!!

Tomorrow we are going to the KOOL CONCERT in Denver... There are going to be 6 bands but I can only remember 3 of them... Herman's Hermits, Dion, and The Turtles. Erik and I saw The Turtles when were first dating. So it has alittle romantic value there!

And I forgot to mention

And I forgot to mention that we are going to Cinzzetti's for lunch before the concert!! YUMMY!!

All my women friends should

All my women friends should read this book... "Succulent Wild Woman" by SARK. Its real uplifting... That was what I was reading while waiting in line for HP. So I ended up having to buy it also.
