Reflections

Well it has been a while since I last added anything here, that is because I had my girls here for a week and I wanted to spend time with them. My mom and I drove to get them on the 25th of July. We stayed in a hotel in Lincoln that night and continued the trip on Friday. We got there around noon and headed back to Colo. Getting us here at 1 in the morning. We have been pretty busy while they were here. Having a big BBQ with family, swimming, miniture golfing and even some school shopping. Then Erik and I made the drive to take them back to Iowa this weekend. We left at 12:30 Saturday afternoon and got back about 3:30 Sunday afternoon. We took a 3 hr nap at a rest stop near Omaha. We took a LONG nap when we got home because napping in the car, well... just doesn't work. But we are home now. And I miss my babies...

I don't know what I hate worse... The dirty clothes pile or the clean clothes pile. I can leave the dirty for another day, but I will need something out of it eventually.... Its a vicious circle, I tell ya... That's what I get to do tonight, Laundry... While Erik goes and plays games. Oh well I should be grateful.... HE does his OWN laundry. I have known other guys who don't...

Anyway, I started my new job today, sorta. I went in for a couple hours and did all the new employee paperwork, then I stood around for a good hour just getting aquainted with the place and people, and then I set up my station. (That was fun, like the first day of school, when you get your little desk all organized.) Tomorrow I start working for reals. I think I am going to like it and the other gals there.

Wow, it's amazing how much happier I am now. I really enjoy my new job.The people I work with are all great people. They never made me feel like "the new girl". I actually look forward to going in everyday.

Last night I watched that Anna Nicole Smith Show. And you thought the Osbournes was messed up. This chic is a freak. She's like a cross between Marilyn Monroe and Miss Piggy. She let her little dog hump a stuffed animal. She thought it was cute! I can't believe the crap they actually put on TV. No wonder I only watch things on Discovery, TLC, and the Food Network...

Erik got a new computer game, Neverwinter Nights. I haven't seen him since Friday. He's obsessed.

I just watched the news and they were talking about the pending baseball strike. That really ticks me off, these baseball players moaning and groaning that they don't make enough money. The average salary for them is $2.5 million a year. Ya know what? SHUT UP!!!! I am lucky if I make $20,000 a year. I think I'll go on strike if they do. I won't watch any sports at all! (until Hockey season!)

Still loving the new job!

I am still enjoying my new job a ton! Erik mentions at least 3 times a week about how much happier I am. I went in to King Soopers today and one of my former co-employees asked where I have been, that she hadn't seen me in a while. I told her I quit, she asked when, I told her I hadn't been there in about 5 weeks and thanks for noticing. Not that I thought they couldn't live without me but people are just now noticing that I'm not there anymore!?!?
