This is an Editorial

This is an Editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa Newspaper, sent to me by my Mom. Thanks Mom. This says exactly how I feel, I am sorry if it offends anyone.

" IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America.
Our population is almost entirely composed of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural
community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto.
This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan.

We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like
Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from.

This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But, once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our
national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom,

THE RIGHT TO LEAVE. "

One of my biggist pet

One of my biggist pet peeves is people who lie. The other is people who tell you they will do something you ask and totally have no intention of doing it.

Well anyway, the past couple of months I have been hanging out outside of work with a new girl. She is sorta the flaky type and talks alot of talk, but I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. I had her come over a few weeks ago just to hang out and maybe watch a movie. (Erik was gaming) We got to talking and I thought maybe a good way to subtly give her a hint was to tell her how I feel about people who lie. (Because I found myself questioning everything she told me) Then we made plans last week to go to a water park for her birthday. I told her that I couldn't pay for it and she then was willing to pay my way, we made plans on Saturday night for her to come over at noon on Monday and we'd go from there. I decided to call on Sunday night to confirm, her 14 yr old sister tells me to call back at 9:30 in the morning and I did. Her sister then tells me that she will have her call me when she gets up. So I get ready, swim suit on and everything. I wait, and wait and wait. She never calls. I waited til 2:00 and then decide that I have better things to do. I finially decide to call her Tuesday night and ask her what was going on. Maybe something traggic happened.(she is a bit of a Drama Queen) She tells me that she had to drive her brother around all day and this and that... Whatever I am thinking. Then on Thursday I find out from someone else that she did go. (like I knew anyway) So my melon is all tweeked because she completly lied to me and she knows I know and now I see her at work and she can't even look me in the face. She hasn't even spoken to me. Now I am just done with her entirely... I just hate it when people don't just give you the truth. If she would have been up front about whatever reason she didn't want me to go I would have been fine with not going. I am a pretty laid back person.

Do you remember that one

Do you remember that one teacher who really made an impact in you life? I ran into mine today. Mrs. Pat Woodward. (1987 Colorado State Teacher of the Year) She looks just like she did in 1987. I was so excited to see her. We chatted and she left me feeling great the rest of the day (warm fuzzies!). I hope she felt the same.

UUHHH! People are just SICK!

UUHHH! People are just SICK! On the way home from work last night I was listening to AM talk radio. The news portion was on and I listened to the most disgusting thing I have ever heard. These people in Liberty Missouri tortured a 7 week old kitten by BBQing it. The put it on the hot coals and tormented the thing, FOR AMUSEMENT!!! I can't believe this crap. Then one of them got it out and it was still alive and all the news said was "it had to be put to death." SICK, SICK, SICK.

On another note, I still hate my job, I am going to go back to what I enjoy, Hairstyling. Right after my 2 week paid vacation that is. I have put out a few applications. So pray for me and wish me luck!
