Well, we made it. We are all moved in. Our stuff is all still in boxes but it is all here and that is all that counts at this moment. I was so missing my internet. Erik fixed it for me (Thank you Sweetie!!) and now I am back!! I'll tell you all about the move and stuff later.

I can't really say that

I can't really say that nothing exciting has been going on, I just been too busy to stop and tell anyone about it. We are still unpacking and getting settled. Saturday we had Herb and Sue over for dinner. They checked out our "pad" Herb is one of my favorite guys! He helped us make these cabnit things for our entertainment center to house our DVD's. When I say helped I really mean he did it. We went over to his house on Sunday to pick them up and also a lawn mower that he had laying about. Which is a great blessing since we didn't have a lawn mower and it is getting to be that time when you need one. Thanks Herbie!!

I also worked all weekend. Which is never exciting. But there was some excitement there on Friday night. Some kid (I'm guessing 16-18) called his Dad and said he was being held hostage and to meet them at King Soopers with $2000. So the dad called the cops and they all met there and it turned out to be a big hoax. The kid was just trying to get money out of his parents. Man if I tried anything like that my ass would still be grounded. I wouldn't have even seen the outdoors til now.

Today we got our satelite

Today we got our satelite hooked up. It has been 12 days since I watched TV. (We have been watching DVD's) I did not know how disconnected I was from the world. I turned on the news at 4:00 and learned that Queen Elizabeth has passed on ten days ago. Holy Cow! I am in shock, I know that she was 101 years old but WOW, I just find it hard to believe. I feel for all of England I know that she was loved very much. I wonder what else has gone on in the world that I completely missed.

Busy, Busy, Busy.... We had

Busy, Busy, Busy....

We had a nice little weekend. Saturday my parents came over to help out with some garden clean up. My Dad brought over his rototiller and he and Erik tilled the garden and my herb garden. That took a big chunk of the day. Then we went to the Windsor "General Store". Which is like an old drug store, it actually is "the" old drug store. They have old fashioned soda's. (I have enlisted myself in the soda tour) I so far have had the "Pink Flamingo" and the "Green Hornet".(The PF consists of wild berry soda and 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and the GH is key lime soda and lime sherbet) I REALLY like the GH!!! After our lunch we went to Ace. We picked up a wheelbarrow and some Ortho Grass B gone. Then we ran home and I went to work.

Sunday was nice too. We invited Ernie and Georgia to come down from Laramie, WY to burn some burgers and check out our new house. We also had Michelle come over. We enjoy showing off our new home!

I pretty much hate my

I pretty much hate my job. Today will be my 8th day in a row. Last week I work 6 days 4 of them being overnight. I don't even remember the last time I had a weekend off. And the altinator in my car has to be replaced. I have been pretty much in a foul mood since Wednesday. I hate the way the scheduling system works at work. You basically have to be there 25 years before you can actually plan anything in your life that doesn't include them. So I think I am actively seeking employment elseswhere. (FYI-- This is the editited version of my feelings!)

Yesterday I woke up and

Yesterday I woke up and my eyes were so swollen and red, I didn't have a bag under my eyes I had the whole Samsonite collection. I'm not kidding there were actually 3 creases under them also I had a rash on both my arms on the inside from an inch or so above my elbows to about my wrists. So I called the DR. and asked Susan if she'd hitch me a ride (as my car was going to get some of Thorban's attention that night, but that's a different story) So the DR. tell me that she thinks is just seasonal allergies, even though I haven't had them before. She gave me some samples of 10mg Zyrtec and told me to let her know if things persist. So this morning I again woke up carrying the Samsonite collection. So I called the Dr. and she phoned in a perscription for eyedrops. We'll see....

About my car... The battery light came on so Erik and I bought a new battery and that didn't help. So we got a new alternator and it still didn't do it so Erik and Thorban went to get a something or other regulator. And that still didn't work so tonight I get to go to Autozone and possibly spend more money... Depending on what they tell me is wrong with the whole thing....We'll see....

My eyes are better and

My eyes are better and my rash is gone, but I am not sure if it was the Zyrtec and eyedrops or if I just got over it.

We had a decent weekend. Saturday I worked til 11pm so Erik came into town and we went to see "The Scorpion King" for the second time. All in all I think it is an allright movie, but some of the dialogue, come on... Did they get Bill and Ted to write it? "Live free, Die well"?? Isn't that a Harley slogan? (maybe they should have added a few "Dude's" in there) Don't get me wrong I did like the movie I just think the dialogue was lacking something. I liked the Mummy movies better though. Then on Sunday we slept in til about noon and then just hung out around the house. We mowed the lawn and I went to work. Nothing terribly exciting.

This afternoon was quite productive

This afternoon was quite productive for me. I started cleaning/rearranging the crap in our garage. (I love saying "Our garage!!) And now we can actually fit 2 cars in our 2 car garage!! Hooray for slaving my ass off!

Also I am currently watching the AVS play... We are winning 2 to 0. YEAH!!!
