Reflections

Today is my sweetie's birthday. Happy Birthday Erik!!!! I got him a DVD and a CD (Atlantis and Pink-misunderstood) and I am making him one of his most favorite meals (which I have never made before) I have Corned Beef and Cabbage in the crock. We are going to Johnny Corino's for lunch with Thorban and Susan (and Family) Sounds like a pretty good birthday if you ask me...

Oh I am so bummed!! My inner rock star is Sade. I just don't know how to take that, I thought I was more fun than that.

Ok I feel better!! My Theme song is "Dancing Queen."

I'm jealous... My dad got to go to the Avs/Redwings game on Monday. How did I find out? Just as the game started I called.
Mom answered.
I said "where's Dad?"
She says "why?" (I think she knew what I was suspecting)
I say "because"
She says "He's at the game."
I said "AAAHHHHHH.... I knew it" "bye"
Then I watched the game. It was a good game but we lost, there was some good fights though.

Also Monday night I finished reading the 4th Harry Potter book. (The Goblet of Fire) Now I am bummed, I have to wait for the next ones to come out.

Last night we drove 50 miles to see a movie. The Brotherhood Of The Wolf (or Le Pacte Des Loupes) is only playing in select cities and Ft. Collins is not one of them. It is a French movie, spoken in French with English subtitle. It is a movie that isn't for everyone. There is a lot of violence, gore, and a strong sexual content. But I think it was worth the drive and full price. We have even talked about going back to see it during the day when Erik is on vacation.

Tonight I am "Batching" it. My husband left me for gaming at a friend's house in Loveland. My parents took me out to dinner at "Pobre Pancho's." (great locally owned mexican food) Now I am going to do "Ultra Girlie " stuff. Including eyebrow and leg waxing, face masking, deep hair conditioning and pedicuring while watching some ultra girlie movie.... Could it get any better?

Today we went down under and had a great late lunch with T&L at The Outback Steakhouse. It was awesome! I had the Victoria's Filet and Erik had the Outback Rack. (rack of Lamb) We also went to Sam's. That wasn't very smart on our part. We always spend too much money there. We did get a new DVD, Independence Day. And 3 CD's Pink Floyd, Echoes (for me and him) Tim McGraw Greatest Hits (for me) and The Lord of The Rings Soundtrack. (for both of us but mostly him) Then I had to work.
We'll see what tomorrow brings, I'm off so it shouldn't suck.

oooohh..... Its the week of Valentine's day, Love is in the air.....
Monday we decided to spend the money and get a home theatre system. We have been looking at an inexpensive set up at Walmart Supercenter. So we went and picked it up. We also took my parents out for a nice dinner. We took them to their favorite Japanese/sushi Bar. They were very surprised. It was nice to treat them for once. They are always doing things for us so we just wanted to show our thanks.

Well, yesterday was Valentine's Day... We didn't do much. I worked in the floral dept. That was exciting!! I got home at 9:15 and brought home with me a romantic (?) dinner. Fried chicken from the deli. We were in a hurry to get to the movie theater. We are big movie buffs if ya haven't noticed. We went to see The Count of Monte Cristo. Which is by far now my favorite movie!! We did get each other little gifts too.

Well, there hasn't been a lot going on here. Erik is one vaca this week and next. So you know he is driving me insane. Monday we went to see "The Brotherhood of The Wolf" with Llamrei. Then we went to dinner with her at Bennigans. Wednesday we drove down to Denver to go to the museum, the IMAX and the Molgolian BBQ. We also went to Flatirons Crossing Mall. Other than that nothing has been going on.

Over the last few weeks we have gotten a lot of new DVDs. We just cannot control ourselves!

Yesterday was a good day. We drove up to Laramie to have lunch with Erik's Dad. We got a tour of the greenhouse where he works. (Univ. of Wy, Herbology dept.) then we went to "Corona Village" for Mexican food. (I love Mexican food!!) We had never been there and MAN! was it good...

Tonight we are going to a concert with Jamie, Megan, Lauren and Ashley. Default is opening for Bush and since us girls are huge Default fans!!
