Saturday night we (myself, Michelle, Jamie, Megan, Lauren and Ashley) went to the Default/Nickelback concert at the Gothic Theatre. It was awesome!!! I will have more details later.
Wanna feel like a girl in Junior High School? Check this out!
I forgot the mention that it was Lauren's 16th birthday the night of the concert. Happy Birthday again Lauren! I am so jealous! I have never had a birthday that cool. She will never forget her sweet 16! We all had a night that kicked A$$! Details to come later...
As if you haven't noticed this is my first website and I don't know alot about the "how to's", Erik and I have spent the past few hours playing with it and added some info on the "About Me" page. Go check it out . There are more photos to see!
Wow, now that I am starting to actually grasp this concept of web building I am really liking it. There's no stopping me now. Let me know how you like the progress.
Oh! For the love of God, Man! What is it with people today? Isn't there enough crap in the world?
Yesterday, at work, I was checking out this older couple. (Obviously over 40) They had some of that Margarita Mix, which requires me to ID them. Well since we ID under 40 and I could see that they were over 40 I simply asked for a birthdate (because I have to enter it in the computer to allow a purchase) Well they freaked out! They didn't understand why I had to ask, for something that didn't contain alcohol. They wondered "if the (margarital mix) company was aware of this" and "what else were we going to pin on terrorism." They carried on for a good 5 minutes. What I really wanted to do was tell these people where to go and where to shove the Margarita mix. They also suggested that I card people for Coca-cola, "because you can add Rum to it." Finally, I suggested that if it upset them so much they could speak to a manager, well they didn't have time to do that. (but they had the time to sit and bitch at me?) So I kindly told them that they could pick up a comment card on they way out. Thank God I have the next 3 days off to recover.
Well, I did it. I have been talking about it for months and today I did it. I joined a health club. The Women's Fitness Connection. So now I am on the path to well being! Wish me luck!
As for having 3 days off, That bubble burst this morning when they called and asked if I'd come in. Of course I will, I need the hours.
Last night Erik and I went to see Harry Potter. It was a great movie. I hadn't read the books, but I will be now. I bought our tickets on Fandango for the first time, usually I just use Fandango as a guide but since I figured this movie would be a sell out I'd buy them online. What a novel idea!
I just went to the Harry Potter site and was sorted. I am with Gryffindor!
Yesterday, as I was leaving to go to work, I got to my car I noticed that my door was unlocked. I remember locking it the night before. I looked around and all the doors were unlocked. So I opened my door and there on my seat there was my wallet open (thank god I had no cash or credit cards in it.) and my visor thing that holds my insurance info. What do you do when you discover your car has been broken into and you have less than 5 minutes to get to work? Well I got in and started it. That's when the lights that tell me what doors are open caught my attention. All my doors were open and the trunk. So I got out checked everything, shut the doors, and headed to work. It didn't look like anything was gone, just all tossed about. I start driving down the road and went to play a CD. My portable Sony disc player was gone. GONE! They even took the cords that plug in to the lighter and tape player. I got to work and checked in the back seat again and my CD wallet (that was completly full with 50 CDs) was gone. I am so upset, this just chaps my ass. So when I got home last night I reported it to the police. I'm pretty sure that will be the end of it though. So now what? I don't really want to go out and replace all those CDs, even though those were all my very favorites.
Well we'll see what happens. How is this suposed to put me in the spirit of giving?
We had a great thanksgiving. Went to Erik's Grandma's and ate. Watched "The Grinch" with Scott and Staci. Then went to see "Harry Potter" with S&S. They hadn't seen it. We all enjoyed the movie.
How messed up is the world? Well, let me tell you. Since my car was broken into I have been extremly careful to lock the doors when I leave it. Friday (or maybe Saturday) when I got off work and was leaving, my drivers side door was unlocked. I can't be 100% sure that I locked it but I am 98% sure, and the glove box was open. (That could have been me, I did put something in it and can't be sure I closed it) So I went home and didn't give it much thought until this morning on the way home from the gym. I was about 1/2 way home and noticed that my disco ball hanging from the rear view mirror was gone. I looked around (trying to stay calm and hopefully see it on the floor.) I looked to the left of the steering wheel where there is a little "cubby" where you can put loose change. It used to hold extra fuses. They were gone along with my disco shoe key chain I put there when it fell off. So since Tuesday, my car has been broken into twice and possibly a third time. This is not setting well, I tell you. I did contact the police and they sent someone out. They are going to "patrol the area more." Why would someone want my $2 disco ball? And who have I pissed off enough to torment me in this way? I don't believe I have made any enemies recently, I don't even think I have any enemies.
Today I had a personal training session at the gym. She kicked my ass! She set up a weight lifting program and a cardio program, that I have to do 3-5 times a week. Well anyway, its what I have to do to get back into shape so if I have to get my ass kicked by the trainer once in a while, so be it.
