Reflections

Today I am buying a car. Erik and I decided it would be better right now just to buy a used car out of the paper. We figured out that right now we don't really want (or can afford) a car payment. So I found a 1986 Honda Accord for CHEAP! All I need right now is something dependable to get me to work and around town. So I will be going and getting it around noon today.

Yesterday, was the last outdoor fighter practice for the summer. (one of the true signs that summer is over) Now its time to go inside and that means time to prepare for war.

Last night Erik and I went to Titus and Llamrei's. I was there to cut hair and he was there to game. I drove myself so I wouldn't have to sit there through the gaming. Llamrei gave me a check for the cuts and I was going to give it to Erik to put in the bank (since I wouldn't have a way to get to the bank) and it was then that I realized that I had my own method of transportation! I can go to the bank whenever I want now! WOW! That was an awesome feeling!

Today I am doing Susan's hair. We Went to Sally's this morning to get what we need. Then We went to Red Robin for lunch. She had never been there. She liked it. We had a nice time chatting.

Erik and I had a wonderful weekend at my aunt's cabin. (with my parents) We left Friday around 10am, drove for 2 hours, had lunch in Bailey, then drove another hour or so to the cabin. We just hung out Friday, checking out the amazing scenery! We had dinner and watched a video. Then Erik and I went outside to enjoy the stars, It was gorgeous! On Saturday we drove to Buena Vista (about 20 miles) went to a few antique shops and the we decided to go to Leadville. (about another 37 miles) I have always wanted to visit Leadville. We went to the Leadville Historical Museum, and walked up and down the main street. We went into one store that was once a saloon that Doc Holiday frequented. (and shot his last victim) We spent about 2 1/2 or 3 hours in Leadville and headed back to the cabin. Again we had dinner and watched a video. Erik and I went outside to look at the stars again but this time we laid on the picnic table and relaxed, We stayed out for a good hour or more. Sunday morning we all packed up, cleaned up the cabin and went home.

For the past 2 weeks we have had people painting and doing repairs on the buiding we live in. They are driving us nuts! For the first week they were just pounding and listening to loud music. Then they moved on to the painting bit of it, which meant covering all the windows and doors with plastic. At one point, I thought they were going to lock me in. (This is while I was on vacation) Michelle came home from work one day and both doors were covered and she had to ask them to let her get in. For the painting process I had to get everything off the patio (bikes, grill, doghouse and more) so now all that is in the grass just off the patio. Its beginning to look like "Sanfred & Son" back there. Yesterday they took down the plastic but still haven't put our porch lights back. (that was fun trying to get in the house at 10 o'clock last night) Hopefully they will finish up today so I can put all my stuff back on the patio.

Erik and I sat down and tried to figure out the world of HTML and FTP. Well he had to go and I have to work soon, but tomorrow we are going to figure it out. Erik really didn't understand when I told him "I have NO understanding of this". Well after sitting for 15 minutes with me my statement became his reality! But soon you'll be able to access the other pages on this site!

Today we had Sabbath Dinner at Herb and Sue's. Herb cooked up a huge roast about the size of a side of cow! Before that Erik, Shell, Russ and I went to a pumpkin patch. The Osborn Farm on highway 402 just east of 287, in Loveland. We all got grand pumkins!

Yesterday I spent the afternoon sewing garb. Here is a very helpful site for garb related items. (sorry, I tried to add a link to it, but it wasn't working so I took it out)
As for today, I REALLY need to clean the kitchen. Gwynn is coming over in a bit to return my dress form to me. Now that I am in the sewing mood, I need it to do work on the dress I made yesterday.

Nothing- I mean NOTHING has been going on around here. I worked all weekend.
Oh-- Erik and I did go see the new movie with Johnny Depp, called "From Hell". It was a very good flick, a great mystery. It took us almost the whole movie to figure this one out... Go see it!

I had to work all weekend. Saturday we were allowed to dress up for Halloween. I wore my purple vinyl pants, a zebra print shirt, wild make-up and a shiny blue wig. I called myself a Party Diva! There was a costume contest but I haven't heard yet if I won or not, I think I have a good chance. Sunday we were so busy at work. It was none stop all day long. I will be glad on Wednesday when I will be off.
That is really about all that is going on.

Since I work in a grocery store I feel it is my job to get the word out on new products. Pepsi has come out with a new twist on the old Pepsi. It is called Pepsi Twist and Diet Pepsi Twist. It has a lemony flavor added to it. I like it! I have tried both and I actually like the diet better. So now I have done my duty, go out and try it. (Oh yeah, they still make it without the lemon)

Happy Halloween! Are you dressing up? I am going to wear the same thing that I did on Saturday for the most part. I tried to get Erik to dress up in Drag but he won't have anything to do with it. We aren't going to do anything except answer the door. I just wanted to wear the blue wig and vinyl pants again!

Wow! Lately when I surf around the web I never find anything to interesting. I just never know what I want to look for anyway today I found something interesting. Wil Wheaton's webpage. Pretty cool, not because he's a celeb, because he actually has something interesting going on there.
