Today I am still in
Today I am still in shock over the turn of events. I keep all of America in my prayers.

Today was pretty uneventful. My Husband, Erik called in sick. He's fighting some cold/flu thing.
So I spent the morning surfing and watching the news. This afternoon we went to the movies. We saw "The Musketeer." Very Sweet Movie! We are both into the whole Musketeer thing anyway. We belong to a Medievil re-creation group, "The Society for Creative Anachronism" So now I want to get busy working on new garb (costumes) and go fencing!
I hate going back to work after having 2 days off. Today was a long day. I am a checker at King Soopers.
I spoke with alot of people today about what is happening in our country. At 7:00pm we invited all the customers in the store to go outside with us and light candles and have a moment of silence. We also sang the National Anthem. It was very touching. I am so thankful that I live here rather than some of the other countries that don't have the freedoms that we do. So many of us take that for granted including myself.
I agree with Scott. Where was everyone's faith before these tragic events happened?
I know that God WILL deliver us from evil. Sadly, sometimes alot of sh** has to happen before its all over, haven't you read the bible? Should the end come, those who have accepted the word know that there is a more peaceful place waiting for us. I have faith in that.
I love Fall. I love that I can wear sweat pants and a sweatshirt and not sweat. Sweats are the most cozy comfortable clothes there are. Whoever came up with sweats-- thank you. And the leaves on the trees in front of my house are beginning to change color. I Love Fall!
Last night after I got off work, Erik and I went out with Titus and Llamrei. (aka- Tod and Laurie) We went to Wendy's and then on to the $2 movie. We Saw Moulin Rouge. I had seen it before, Erik hadn't. He liked it more than I thought he would. I love it.
My sister-in-law/roommate, Michelle has been on vacation in Detroit. She was sceduled to return on Tues (9-11) So now the plan is for her to return today. I'm sure she is ready to come home after this last week.
Also one of my friends' mother has been in France on vacation and doesn't know still when she will be allowed to return to the states. (now that is a vacation I wouln't mind being stuck on!!)
Yesterday Erik and I bought 3 more DVDs. "Notting Hill", "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Unbreakable". Bringing our DVD count to 64. (We have gone completely mad)
I just want to take a quick moment to thank my friend/cousin, Scott, for helping me create this website. When I say helping I mean, doing 90% of the work. Thank you so much!!! I think it is totally fabulous!
Today surfing around a bit I found this website. I found it to be very touching. Be sure to turn up your volume! Enjoy!
Well, it has been a few days. Either the computer or me was having a problem. Anyway, Erik, my wonderful husband fixed it!
Here are some interesting coincidences that my mom sent me:
The date of Attack: 9/11- 9+1+1+11
September 11 is the 254th day of the year: 2+5+4=11
After Sept. 11 there are 111days left to the end of the year.
119 is the area code to Iran/Iraq. 1+1+9=11
Twin Towers- standing one by one, look like the number 11
The first plane to hit the towers was Flight 11
The state of New York- the 11th Sate added to the Union.
New York City- 11 letters
Afghanistan- 11 letters
The Pentagon- 11 letters
Ramzi Yousef- 11 letters (Convicted of orchestrating the attack on WTC in 1993)
Flight 11- 92 on board 9+2=11
Flight 77- 65 on board 6+5=11
Hmmm... That's alittle too coincidencal for me.
This site was sent to me by Linda and Ray. It is totally worth your time to check it out.It is a beautiful site.
Again it has been a few days. That was just timing. Saturday Erik and I went to a Sca event-Newcomers. Which is an event for all the newcomers (people who have joined within the last year) to show off. There is a heavy weapons tournament, fencing and archery, arts and sciences, and of course a grand feast with dancinng afterward. I live in the fair Barony of Unser Hafen in the Kingdom of the Outlands. The first event I went to was Dance College in march of 1991. My name in the Sca Is Lady Phaedra of Candia. I am in the process of changing my greek persona to French. My name will be Lady Julienne. I am still doing alot of research. I have always been interested with French history. I took French ( the language) in Junior High school and have been recently refreshing my skills. I think it is so cool to see those people in the Sca who truly live their persona. Many of them are my close friends.
I forgot to mention, last Wednesday was Russ's (Erik's youngest Brother) 21st birthday. We all (Erik, Michelle, Russ, Tim, Mary, Dave and myself) took him to Dave and Buster's. We had a blast. If you have never been there it is like an adult Chuck E. Cheese. (without the pizza) There's food, drink and games, games, games!!!
On another note, my favorite movie comes out on DVD today! A Knight's Tale! Oh you know it! I will be going out to get it and I plan on watching it over and over!
Over the next few days I am going to be car shopping. Erik and I have been sharing his car for a year and a half now, and it really isn't very fun for me. If I want the car on my days off I have to get up at the butt crack of dawn (Erik and my mom will tell you that I am not a morning person) and take him to work and then be home from 3:30 on to be there for him to call me to come and get him. So I would really, really, really like to get a New Beetle. But we'll see.
Next week I am taking vacation. Erik was supposed to be able to take the week off too, but the company he works for is too busy right now so he will only be taking off Thursday and Friday. Friday morning we will be heading up to My Aunt's cabin near Fairplay with my Mom and Dad. I am excited to get away, and see the Fall colors! I am going to take up my scrapbooking projects and hopefully get our wedding album finished. And take my camera to capture the beauty of Colorado!
